The fire extinguisher in my apartment was last checked in 2016, it was 2019. I found that out when the was a small but controllable fire in my oven, I went to use it but it didn't work. I though "this isn't good but maybe it was a mistake.'" So I went to the main office and requested another, again it was from 2016. To this day I still don't have an extinguisher and i have asked several times and they sent a notice saying that they were going to 'check' everyones. We had to wait a week with no a/c in the middle of a heat wave. In the winter the fire alarm will go off for hours in the middle of the night for no reason and you are either forced to go outside in the cold or to try and ignore it and hope its not the real thing this time. There is security, but every time you call the number its some guy trying selling drugs.
