Resident 2009

7/29/2009

I only liked the fact that my boyfriend and I finally got our own place again and for a low rent cost, but for me that was all that this place had to offer. My lease is up in mid-August, because I wasn't aware that I had to notify them that I was moving out at the end of my lease so I'm chalking that up as a missunderstanding. But I'm nervous that I won't get my full deposit back because there were so many other things wrong in the apartment that we didn't notice before we got settled. The molding or puddy around the bottom of tub where the tub and floor are connecting was dirty, old and cracking in the worst way. The towel rack by the sink started giving away after a month of moving in which just tells us that the last tenant broke it and puddied it back or maintenance did it (even worse). The sink's cabinet was rickety. Pretty much the bathroom was my least favorite thing about the apartment becuase it looked like it was just glued together before we moved in. And yes the walls are paper thin and it is pretty embarrassing when you are having sex becuase even though you try as hard as possible not to make a sound sometimes you do and you have to pray your neighbors don't say anything to you. So it's not noisy becuase it's noisy, its only noisy becuase the walls are paper thin. The shared hallways really stink on MOST days especially when there is more than one tenant cooking different meals. This place can definitely use some stable renovating inside and out in order to look more appealing, but the neighbors are decent; a few -------ghettos out here but they really do keep to themselves and a majority of them keep it quiet, but I can't promise that they don't bump their music loud in the cars when they are pulling up or pullling out, but it doesnt last long. I hate the laundy situation becuase it costs so much to wash clothes and the washer and dryer only handle small loads(Sneaky). But the convenience of having a washer and dryer in each building is is pretty good for those who don't mind paying for it. The management is okay but I just wanted a little more. But this is a good place for a first time renter, but just be sure that you are paying attention on signing day becuase that issue about not giving my notice must have slipped pass me during the meeting, overall the staff was pretty nice especially for someone as impatient and quick tempered as me.
