The main problem with all the apartments here (and I've been in three of them that friends have occupied) is that there is little noise insulation between floors.
You /will/ be able to tell where your upstairs neighbor is walking to....what they've dropped on the floor...when they use the vacume cleaner....when they operate the washer/dryer.....when they decide to copulate. It's not a muffled or muted sound...but a very hollow, clear and distinct sound.

The solution is simple....if you want to live here all you have to do is insist on living on the top level. The other aspects of the apartment are great - reasonably good construction, nice features...I've never had issues with the maintenance or front office staff either. Parking is only an issue in certain parts of the complex...this might mean walking an extra few steps if you park at the end of the lot, but it's certainly no reason to avoid this complex.
