We liked living here.. at first. The walls are very thin and you can hear neighbors talking/music at a pretty normal level. The new locks and thermostat systems? They never worked with our phones and apps. We tried customer service SEVERAL times and no one was able to fix the problem. So it is really just a waste. Our dish-disposal was broken upon move-in. Our porch always seems to have wasps, no matter how much we spray surrounding nests. However, that is nothing compared to the carpenter ant infestation we dealt with. The hallway would almost always have dead bugs (specifically beetles and roaches). We were disappointed to be charged a monthly pest control fee, yet you have to call and schedule for a specific problem (no one comes unless otherwise stated). They don't actually come every month. The office staff? 9/10 times were unhelpful and rarely called back when they said they would. Most of the time I felt like I wasn't being taken seriously. There is only one trash site for the entire complex. So if you aren't lucky enough to be close, you have to drive your trash in your car or walk it over. Not at the fault of 1201 Midtown, but our hallway ALWAYS smells like weed. Just thought that should be noted. The worst issue was with the water bill. There were a couple of times that our water bill was extremely high despite having no changes in use, being out of the apartment for most of the time, and the meters "being checked". Additionally, amenities were closed due to Covid-19 (which is understandable). Considering we can't use them, it would have been nice to have a reduced rent payment. (Also the golf simulator never works). Overall point - you can find a better deal elsewhere.
