I have lived at The Corners for three years, and moved from my own home into the apartment complex. It was the first time I had ever lived in an apartment. I was excited to think of having the luxury of no longer worrying about yard work and maintenance and counting on someone else to do those chores. Plus, the pool right outside of the apartments, was a huge bonus!
The first year was great... but since then I have seen different management come and go. No one really stuck around long enough to invest into really looking at what it would take to fix "the eye sores" and "updating" the complex. The complex has really gone downhill due to the lack of interest on the part of management. Needless to say, there is much that is in need of improvement.
Fortunately, a month or so ago, a new manager came in and he has already started a long list of things "to do" to begin improvements to the complex. For me personally...I have already had my air conditioning repaired, which had been on the wait list for two months and I have already had my washer/dryer unit repaired. So I can only speak for myself when I say things are improving.
I agree with other tenants in saying that one of the positive constants at the complex is Brittany, who works in the office. She has been very professional through all of the changes in management and has still managed to keep a smile on her face. I believe the combination of the new management and their enthusiasm, and the consistency of professionalism from Brittany will go a long way toward improving the atmosphere at The Corners. I believe the office management is open to hearing suggestions from the tenants and appear willing to really listen to "our complaints". I am willing to give the new management their opportunity to "show" what they can do by continuing to make improvements at The Corners. I hope other tenants will give the management time to show us what they can do to make all of us proud to call The Corners "home".
