Resident 2011

3/31/2011

I felt compelled to write a review for Quail Ridge Highlands since I will be leaving soon to move back up to the Northeast and through my search, I am discovering that I will most likely be down grading my housing options back up NE as many places are not dog friendly, cater to only to 55 plus or are just down right unsafe & trashy. With that being said, I am overall very happy with Quail Ridge Highlands. Staff is very nice, they always knew my name & my dog's name, they knew what unit I lived in, & when I had issues (which was very rare) they fixed the problem almost immediately. I know that some people complain about their apartments being noisy, but I personally had no problems, but it probably helped that I live on the 3rd floor facing the park...which I believe makes my unit the best unit on the property. There were definitely at some points where there would be a lack of parking space so sometimes you just have to park a little farther...not big deal since it's not a huge complex. I really liked that a security system, Cable & Internet was included and that there is a nice pool & a nice workout facility. For an town with not much to do, Quail Ridge Highlands offers decent amenities. I also feel that the complex is safe overall and the staff does a pretty good job in letting everyone informed of any incidents that may have occurred, for example, someone who lived on a first floor, left their apartment unlocked & came back home discovering that their TV amongst other things were stolen. We also had several cops living in the complex so there was pretty much 24 hour security all the time. The other complaint I may have is that a lot of the dog owners are not very good with picking up their dog's Poop. Seriously people, if you want to own a dog, you need to own up to the responsibilities of being a dog owner! Oh, and if you don't have a washer or dryer, it is not provided here, so you would either have to purchase or rent that. Overall, I would recommend Quail Ridge Highlands and I hope to find similar accommodations back in the Northeast.
