When I first moved to Waterford Crossings in 1999 it was very nice and management was on top of things. I have just moved from there within the last 2 weeks. I moved for a few reasons. One reason was that parking began to get ridiculous. If you planned on returning to your apartment after the hours of 5:00 you would have a hard time finding a parking space. You may end up parking very far from your building and this is not safe at all if it is dark outside. Some cars park on the side of their building due to this issue, but you will risk getting a ticket or your car towed. I feel the rent is too high for the service(s) you receive there now. You will probably have a decent rent amount when you initially move in, because of rent specials they may be offering at that time. After that, it does not take long for them to increase your rent tremendously. Just to give you an idea...when I left there I had the smaller 1 bedroom apt.(they offer 2 sizes). I was paying $689/month. It was not worth it. I advise to shop around and weigh out your options before making a definite decision.
There is one more thing that I would like to make you aware of. I had an issue with my mailbox key would get stuck and not oepn my mailbox. Keep in mind the mailbox was not full at all. I say this to let you know that is was no fault of my own. It literally took about 2 weeks to get this resolved. No one would call me to let me know what was going on. I would have to make time to call on my breaks from work. When I called the office to check on what was going on they finally told me the mailbox was fixed. What they failed to tell me is that they replaced the lock. They not once took teh initiative to call me to let me know what was going on. Unprofessional and inconsiderate are the best words I can use to describe this particular situation.
I would also like to add that the management company Waterford Crossings was under in 1999 was excellent. They knew how to operate a business and deal with people. I would still be there if they were still in charge. I can not remember the name of the management company at this time, but I will try to locate that information.
These are just a few things to hopefully help you out.
