Terrible
I moved in a year and a half ago. I hate it. The first half of the first year was alright, then management changed. At some point they "discovered" (I was not trying to hide it) that I have a pet lizard living in a terrarium on my dresser along with the dog I already paid a $300 deposit for. They wanted me to pay an extra $50 for the right to set the damn terrarium on my dresser. I told them no, and they left it. About a week later they started to inspections, without the thirty days written notice that is specified in the lease I signed, and gave me two days notice they would be entering my apartment. In the notice they left on my door they said we could call to make arrangements to be in the apartment when they came, but I had to wait until Monday to call because they gave the notice to us Friday night, and the inspection was Monday. When I called I talked to some man that yelled at me for being difficult to work with and trying to intentionally cause delays. He then called me stupid for not understanding procedure and a variety of other insults. When I had my fiance call, he was nice as can be, apologized for the last minute notice, and asked what time would be best. Then NEVER SHOWED UP. For nearly three weeks they left these notices on our door, saying they will be in THE NEXT DAY, and never came once. When the time came to resign, we wanted to leave, but because we had gotten married earlier that year, my fiance and I couldn't afford to move out. They raised our rent nearly $100! I pointed out that with all the car break-ins, apartment break-ins, our neighbor being shot, a baby dying downstairs from us due to drug-related issues, and the apartment across from us constantly having the cops called on them for domestic abuse issues, they could hardly expect anyone to agree to that. The then settled on only raising it $70. Now, these past few weeks, things have been missing from my fridge. Half a pack of energy drinks, multiple bottles of water, a couple bottles of beer, and yogurts. We are scrupulous about locking, so it can only be either maintenance or management that is coming in. Long story short, at the end of this lease, we are leaving. I'd rather live in a car again than stay here.Share This Review
