Resident 2010

10/16/2010

I wrote a recommendation for this apartment complex but after giving them an almost 60 day notice of moving they started to neglect repairs that were requested. The apartment was completely empty by the end of the lease and the "apartment manager" felt the need to serve an eviction notice two days prior to the end of the lease creating a legal case causing additional fees to be added (over $1000!) and attempted to charge for an additional two months rent. According to other renters this is not an isolated incident. If you ever have a situation and your rent payment is even 1 day late the late fees are exorbitant! There are also many safety concerns that you should be aware of. The lower floor apartments do not have appropriate locks for their windows and there have been frequent break-ins to vehicles as well as apartments though the apartment complex personnel will send out memos downplaying the incidents no matter how serious they may be. The whole experience of living at The Reserve at Lakeshore turned into quite a nightmare and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND moving into this complex unless you have an attorney review your lease prior to moving in and you are planning on getting a home alarm system and staying there forever because when and if you decide to move due to whatever circumstances be prepared! The seemingly "friendly staff" are no longer so friendly and the aftermath is not worth the trouble!
