Gateway at Knoxville
Resident · 2016
I moved into Gateway almost one month ago and I'm already looking for another place to live. Since I moved in on May 1st, I wasn't in the typical leasing period of Aug-July. The staff has not only been rude to me, but they've been horrible communicators and made things even harder on me as a resident. It's a cheap place to live, but you definitely get what you pay for. I've had to call maintenance five times over the last three weeks because almost everything in the apartment was broken or needed replacing. My windows were rusted, sink was clogged, and it was obvious that no one cleaned before I moved in. The apartment I wanted wasn't available in May, so I've been placed in another. I was told if I want to relocate in August, I'd have to pay $200. In addition, they do not accept cash, which is even more inconvenient, and trying to get a mailbox key made has been hell. It's a great place to live for students, but they definitely need to fire their staff and hire new people who know how to handle customers. I'm at my wits end and it's only been a month.
