The living conditions here are untolerable. Last semester, the electricity was off for 18 hours. Water and electricity goes off on a monthly basis with almost no warning. The window units are not adequate to cool the rooms, and residents can't control the radiators used for heat. Even with the "AC" running year-round, the temp is a consant 78-82. Even though staff paints the front hall weekly, the rest of the building is not even mopped. It is not unusual to find dog poo in the halls. Some of the floors have an overwhelming smell of cat urine and mold. The cement brick walls muffle sounds from neighbors, but you can hear noise from the hall and 50 year-old windows. The gas stoves are from the 70's. Hope that yours doesn't break because it takes them 2 years to get replacement parts. Literally. The internet works slow at best and goes off daily. Get your own fire alarm if you come. Management performs tasks in a timely basis, but rarely goes above minimal needed. You can pay $55 for a parking spot, but someone else is usually parked in it. Otherwise you can fight for free spots on campus.
