Resident 2007 - 2008

2/23/2008

It's very uncommon for the temperature in rooms on the west side of the building to get below 80 degrees in the summer, even at night. Their Free "High Speed" Wireless Internet is an insult to jesus. Plan on buying comcast if you want to do anything other than check your email. During peak times if the connection even works, the speeds aren't even comparable with dial-up. Yeah I didn't think it could be that shartty either... Sense of community doesn't exist. The washers and dryers WILL take your money at least 1 out of every 3 visits, despite them being "new." Every once in a while, letters from the office appear under everyone's door that seem to be written by a caps-lock ridden manic with people skills that can best be compared to that of a spoon. EXCLAMATION!!! Also, if you're a single college guy, expect grimaces to be flashed when telling a female you live in Shelbourne =s ... It's not all bad though, it's convenient living this close to campus. Location is one thing Shelbourne does have. I love being close enough to walk to class and it's nice to be near friends that live on campus. I also feel like my things are pretty safe being left in the room. I'd rather live here than the dorms but all in all, I can't wait to frackin move.
