Resident 2004 - 2006

9/19/2006

YOUR SAFETY IS NOT THE APARTMENTS CONCERN THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM.I have been a resident there for almost 2 years my lease will be up soon and I CANT WAIT to leave. The apartment complex does not have assisgned parking spaces and they let go of the security officers that were securing the area. So when you come in at night you have to park down the street around the corner and there is no one watching the lot except the criminals. When the secuirty officers were let go cars came up missing because criminals saw the opppotunity for crime. But the apartment is not concerned about the safety of you and your children they are more concerned if you are parked in the two parking spaces across from the leasing office that is marked for future residents. I work at night and I have to come in late with my two small kids so instead of putting myself and kids at risk by parking around the corner and down the street I parked in the future resident parking. When I awoke the following morning about 9:30am my car was missing IT HAD BEEN TOWED by the apartment complex. I was billed 225.00 to get my car out of impound which was down the street. I alerted mgmt several weeks ago about the parking situation and that the lot is full not due to the residents but visitors and illegal residents at the apartment complex but of course no one wanted to address that. They just went on to tell me that in my leasing agmt that I signed off that I would be held accountable for parking there. So why arent they responisble for making sure their rentors are safe and go above and beyond to make sure the people currently living there are well taken care of. Their attitude was totally nonchalant their is no concern about safety but they are concerned about future residents BUT THAT CONCERNT PEOPLE ONLY LASTS TILL THE DAY YOU SIGN THAT LEASING AGREEMENT THEN YOU BECOME ANOTHER CHECK.
