After being here somewhere to the tune of 6 months with no problems, I found out what this place is really about. After deciding to get a dog, I went to the front office to pre-pay my pet deposit. I told them that I dogsit for my parents and girlfriend every once in a while and I'm thinking of getting a dog of my own, so I better go ahead and pay the deposit. I was told that if my parents' and girlfriend's dogs weren't there all the time, to just wait and pay the deposit whenever I get my dog. NEVER was I told of any list or weight requirement! I purchased my Boxer puppy (a non-aggressive dog as you will find in any book or web-site) and had her for 2 months before they told me she was on the "list" of breeds they don't accept b/c they are large-aggressive dogs. I can get rid of her or pay over $3,000 to break my lease. It is okay, apparently, to have large-aggressive dogs in the complex (as I see the bulldog in the building behind me every day) but she couldn't tell me the reasons that other people can have them and I can't.
I was perfectly happy with this development until this incident happened, and wish it could have been avoided. If you ever plan on living here, DO NOT EXPECT THEM TO TELL YOU THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW. Ask questions about EVERYTHING!
