The one thing that I really dislike about living here is the slow internet. I was led to believe that there would be high speed internet, but it acts more like dial up. The network at Campus Crossings is obviously not large enough to handle the population of this complex. The internet is pretty much unusable during the evening hours and for most of the night. If you play online games or wish for fast download speeds, avoid this place like the plague.

I remember having to download a 50MB file for a class, and it took me about 6 hours to download it all. It should have taken less than 20 minutes if the speeds were what they advertised them to be. This is what they call high speed internet when you get less than 20kb/s downloads on a GOOD night? Most times it is under 10kb/s, which is just pathetic. This is 2007, not 1997.

I have never had a problem with parking. There are usually dozens of spaces available at any 24 hour period. Most of the lots do flood when it rains, however.

People are also badmouthing the management, but the office staff has been nothing but awesome to me. One of them even remembered my name when I walked in one day, and I haven't seen or spoken to this girl in 6 months. E-mailing problems to them does take a long time, however. I've had to do this a few times and it took them three or four days to get back to me.

Maintenance is also slow. My apartment had a problem with our washer/dryer at the beginning of the year and it took about two weeks before someone finally came and fixed it.

I'm living in one of the new buildings that just opened up in summer of 2006, so that has something to do with the relatively high ratings. I've heard mostly bad things from people living in the older buildings.
