I don't even know where to begin. I bought into the hype of this place a year ago, which is why I'm writing this review now. I don't want someone else to be duped by the pretty facade this place puts up and end up regretting their decision the way I have. Let's start with all the "cool features" they claim to offer. The gate they're so proud of? It's purely cosmetic. Most of the time it isn't working, so it's eirher swung wide open or it won't read your keycard, leaving you stranded outside your own home. The gym would be nice, were it not full of non-functional equipment. We're having winter weather right now, and they made absolutely no attempt to prepare the parking lot for the snow/ice which left it a slip and slide. The maintenance crew? Tried for three weeks to get them to trim a branch that was constantly slamming into our window. Finally gave up and did it myself while fielding near constant emails asking about my "satisfaction" with their performance. Which is another issue all-together. They constantly spam your email and flyer your door about surveys and this and that. Worse than most spam services. And this "vallet trash" business? Let me tell you what that really is. It's shoehorned into your rent, so it's not an optional service. You HAVE to pay for it. You have a trash can the size of a standard kitchen trash can and that's it, that's all the trash you're permitted. If it's more than that, you get fined. There is only a three hour window that your trash is allowed to be out for "collection." If, like me, you have set it out early, guess what? You get fined. You put it out late, it doesn't get picked up, is there the next day and you get fined. They don't even pick up on certain days, too, so trash either backs up in your place or you have to take it to the dump yourself in spite of still having to PAY for the service. They literally come to your door looking for ways to fine you, and charge you more. Then, there's the walls and floors. They're paper thin. Thus you sit and listen to every step, creak, fart, screw, and flush from your neighbors but, if you step one toe out of line? They complain to the office and guess what? You get fined. This brings me, finally, to the pet policy. While it is competitively priced compared to a lot of complexes in the area, there are reasons for that. First of all, there are so many restrictions on what your family pet is "allowed" to be that unless your happy with one cat or one very small dog, you're out of luck. But honestly, that's a moot point. If your dog barks at all or makes any noise, your neighbors are going to complain. Then you get fined and they start threatening to evict you which, trust me, the office staff here LOVES to do. There are more things that I'm overlooking I'm sure, but I'll leave it at this. Unless you have super deep pockets and about as much personality as a Stepford wife, this so-called "community" is not for you. Unless you're willing to shell out oodles of cash on top of an already lofty monthly rent rate for services that don't work, stay away. Unless you're comfortable with having your neighbors judging, and complaining about your every move to the point that you're CONSTANTLY hit with $50 fines and eviction threats? Stay away. The worst part of ALL of this is that I'm a store manager and as such, I work 80 hours/week. I'm barely ever even here and yet, constantly, am bombarded with complaints and fines and threats and accusations. I've lived here for a year and I can honestly say that I can't take it anymore. No apartment "community" should be allowed to even TRY to dictate and control your lifestyle to the degree this place does and honestly after a year of this, I wouldn't even want to die here, much less live here. Please heed my warning. This place is fascist, pretentious, and not for anyone.
