Just wanted to provide an up-to-date review. First: the address on this website is incorrect; it's actually located at 5000 Hillsboro Pike. I believe the listed address is actually the rental company's office address. Anyway, I've had a very good experience living here. Paula, the landlady, is very easy to get a hold of whenever we need help. Maintenance is pretty quick to fix any problems as well. The only real issue I've noticed with our apartment is that sometimes the air conditioning doesn't seem to be able to keep the apartment cool. This problem doesn't happen too often, but it can get pretty warm without the air conditioning. Fortunately, the dining area and both bedrooms all have ceiling fans, which can help on the hottest days. The apartment complex is fairly secluded from the rest of Green Hills, so it stays pretty peaceful. There have been a few cases of people being loud outside at night, but by and large you can expect the area to be pretty quiet. The apartments do have some squeaky floors in areas, so if hearing people walk around bothers you, try to get an upstairs apartment. The community feels very safe--there are kids playing outside, people sitting on their porches, etc. People are friendly but tend to keep to themselves, which is fine with me. The Green Hills area has plenty of places to shop and eat, though you're probably going to want a car to get around (this is true anywhere in Nashville). The highway is very accessible once you get through the Green Hills traffic, so it doesn't take too long to get wherever you need to go. I work at Vanderbilt, and my commute is only 15 minutes during the morning rush, which is nice. Parking is usually available near your unit, but spaces are not assigned, so expect to have to park further away occasionally. Overall, I've been very pleased with living here, and I can only hope to find another place as nice and affordable when I move out of state.
