No Woes Here -- I give them 6 stars.

I am AMAZED at the review I just read regarding The Stahlman and its staff. My guess is that someone either rented in a building over his/her head financially or is one of those folks that can only thrive with turmoil. The Stahlman is a lovely and, most certainly, a secure home. If there were checks lying around on a desk, I do not believe they were careless otherwise rents would not be paid and folks would be evicted. Plus, I do not know of better security than we have at The Stahlman. ANYONE in the office could ONLY be there with the staff. The office is locked when the staff is out and you cannot get into the building unless you are a resident or were permitted access from the office staff or by a resident. Identity thieves are very smart people, and if they want your identity they are going to get it without the assistance of checking account information.     Rip off! Don't live here

    Thought this would be convenient since I work downtown, but fair warning: STAY AWAY. The management is horrible (they seem to hire only dumb blondes and bubble heads). I paid my rent the other day and was quite concerned when I saw a pile of checks just lying around in the office! Must have been at least 20. They refused to give me a receipt and assured me it would be deposited. I'd advise all residents to check their accounts for identity theft activity. Dont let their sales pitch of "this is a solid, historic building," sell you either. Though the apartments are new and include all appliances, the walls are like paper - you can hear the people beside you and 5 blocks away! They seem to always be doing construction in, on the buidling and around the block. Everything echoes. I thought sacrificing apartment space (the 1 bedroom is more like a studio. I feel sorry for the people in the real studios. Must be the size of a bathroom.) to walk 3 blocks to work would be a positive. I'd gladly drive 2… See More>
