If you want terrible service this is the place for you. As a resident of Savoye for 3 years I have to say it has been the worst experience I could ever imagine dealing with the staff here.
The good part of living central location and for the most part a nice property around PARTS of the complex.
The bad...I was lied to when I moved in here 3 years ago about the development of the area. If they tell you anything is coming which will make your life better, they are lying. In 3 years City Dog opened which is amazing and MH Cafe opened which is pretty meh. All the other things they present as part of the Vitruvian project have not and are not happening. The events at Vitruvian Park have also progressively gotten worse. They will talk about safety and being gated but there have been several vehicle thefts directly out of the garage, maybe its because ANYONE can drive right into the gated parking by pulling up to the gate without the toll tag they say is required. In addition, a few weeks ago they had to bring in a security service cause apartments were being broken into on a consistent basis, INSIDE the building. Thieves have easy access to this place. Next, they say its a non-smoking property but guess who staff. They drive their golf cart on the property, hang out in the garage and smoke, just a few feet away from the no smoking signs. Also, be prepared for them to misplace your packages or give them to someone else after you get an email stating you had a package delivery then act like they have no idea what has happened and tell you you will have to call the Business Manager at another property who conveniently will never return your call. If you live near a side entrance by the dumpsters be prepared for trash and broken glass everywhere. If you walk your dog be prepared for overflowing bins of dog waste. Be prepared for your key fab to stop working at anytime. Expect that the pool will be overran with non-residents on the weekends. Have fun trying to use the common areas, it's like they built them not to be used or if you want to use them expect to pay a large fee. The business office, you'll have to go to the other property to get the printer to work, better hope there is paper there.
I could go on and on but all the previous stuff could be overlooked by me, and was, but the service from the staff is atrocious. The only time the staff will communicate with you is if they want your money. Once your in, you'll never hear from them when you need them but at 90 days prior to your renewal they will bombard you with calls and emails trying to get you to renew and tell you if you don't within 15 days the rates will go up. Worst part, once you are a resident they rely on the fact that no one likes to move and each year for your renewal they will jack up your rates. To give you an example, Ive been here 3 years, a resident of UDR for a total of almost 5 years and when my renewal came up they offered me a renewal option for my 688 sq ft apartment for $1499 a month while the same apartment was listed on their website for $1112 a month. So as a long term customer who has never had a late payment, has forgiven them for lost packages I've had to personally replace, who has looked past all the lies and broken promises, dealt with the theft and other issues and they want to charge me approx 35% more than a new resident, it's absolutely insulting. And when I spoke with the staff and the Senior Community Director Wesley, he did me a solid and took $30 off the rate which brought it to $1469 but only if I agreed to a 15 month lease instead of a 12 month lease. As a long term, good customer, this has been the worst service imaginable and I will be moving out when my lease is up next month.
There is a reason there are so many open apartments at this place, no one stays and renews cause they price you out and hope you stay cause it's easier. Don't do what I did and fall into that trap for a couple years, stay as far away from Savoye, the terrible staff, and UDR as possible.
