When I moved into Sunrise Bluffs on July 1, 2017 I walked into what has turned out to be a nightmare. The dishwasher was in the middle of my kitchen. Kitchen cabinets pulling away from the ceiling. There was no door on the bathroom. There were missing drawers in the kitchen and bathroom and there was NO hot water in the entire apartment. After 3 days without hot water I contacted corporate and they had it taken care of the next day (sort of) as it was still taking 20 minutes for the hot water to get to my building (13) from building 17. They have since corrected that and it only took 2 months to get it all done. Then On Thursday August 31, 2017 at 9:00 pm the toilet in my bathroom overflowed. I was not sure how long it was flowing as the water reached my closet, the entrance to my bedroom and the night stand on the other side of the room. Once I realized what was going on I turned the water off to the toilet and contacted after hours messaging. They advised me that they would notify maintenance who then showed up at my apartment with a snake. He was advised that there was a clog not that the toilet was flowing like a fountain. He checked the toilet and determined that there was a clog somewhere in the pipe so he fixed that and turned the water back on in the toilet (which is still running and won't stop). He advised me that he would call his carpet guy and call me back to let me know when he would be here. I never got a call back so at 11:30 pm I crashed on my couch. I never got a call back to let me know what was going on. When I woke up the next morning I called the property manager and left her message to call me ASAP. I'm still waiting for that return call. When I got home from running errands in the afternoon I walked into my apartment with EVERYTHING shoved into my living room from my bedroom and an industrial fan blowing on the carpet and the padding removed. I'm grateful that its being done but would have liked some notification as to what was going on. As well as in the washer-dryer closet that will need to be taken out because the toilet water went in there as well and the floor in there and the bathroom will need replaced. I went into the bathroom where the floor is dry and my feet still got wet from the water underneath the floor. I then called the front office and was advised that the carpet company would be here Saturday to put in the new padding. I was fine with that as I could then put my apartment back together. I called the front office at 11:00 to find out when the carpet company would be here and was advised that they would not be coming until Tuesday. I asked to speak to the property manager and was advised that she doesn't work on weekends. I said fine then at least put me up in a motel for the weekend and the girl said she was not authorized to do that.
