After 2 years of living here, we wanted to go month-to-month, because we knew we might need to move during the year. However, PTC would charge $900 extra/month for that option (for comparison, our current place only charges $50 extra and our previous lease automatically went month-to-month with no rent increases after the first year). Unable to afford that, we foolishly signed another lease, thinking we might be able to find someone to take it over mid year if we had to move. Well, we did have to move, and even though I spent 2 months trying to find a new renter, nothing worked. I saw so many people inquiring about availability at the office, however, per PTC policy, they would also not mention to anyone that our apartment was among the available units. So in the end we had to pay $3600 just to get out of the contract. I find these sort of tactics greedy.

A H, thank you for leaving us feedback. We are disappointed to hear that your experience was not a positive one. I'm sincerely sorry your lease takeover did not work out last year. We offer the early termination agreement as a last resort, but again, I'm sorry if you felt we let you down. I hope you're enjoying your new home. We wish you the very best. Sincerely, Esther Van Aken - Community Manager
