Move-in was a nightmare. I was told that the entire staff had quit the week before, so nobody who was working knew what was going on. They didn??™t even have a key for me at check-in, so I had to wait for them to go and ???find??? one from maintenance. When I walked into my room, it was disgusting, almost as if someone had been squatting there for the summer. Dirty clothes everywhere, smoke detectors disabled, and empty alcohol containers strewn about. After hours of trying to negotiate with the management (mostly because nobody knew what was going on??”or seemed to care), I finally was able to talk with a regional manager who was very nice and helpful. She relocated me to a different apartment. As I finally began to move my things in to the 4th floor, the elevator broke and I had to carry hundreds of pounds of boxes up stairs. Now that I??™m moved in, I can say that the apartment is very nice, but the move-in process was the worst I have ever experienced. Aside from that and the fact that maintenance can be slow if it??™s not a pressing issue like an active leak, everything is pretty nice.
