Resident 2004 - 2006

8/9/2006

First off, when I moved in, I was given a completely different apartment then the one I put a deposit on AFTER I had to wait an extra week cuz my move in was delayed.

THen, I found that I had a flea infestation. The carpet had an iron burn and a bleach stain in the bedroom and the fixtures to the shower and tub were dissassembled. that wouldn't have been a big deal if they didn't delay my move in.

Every month for my first 6 month lease I had to keep reminding the office Mangagers of my rent amt everytime i paid, because they forgot that they gave me a promotion. And everytime I came in to pay rent I was treated like a child and was often talked down to. I am a Workforce admin at my center and even my superiors don't treat me like they do.

The due dates for all tenants is on the 3rd of every month and I recieved a notice on my door that stated that my rent was due on the 1st and I was going to be evicted within 24 hours if I don't pay rent. WHAT!?

The maintanence staff is prompt but terribly unprofessional. THE DAY (friday)i got a puppy is the same day I got a notice on my door forcing removal of her. I hadn't even got the chance to turn in the deposit since I was at work. I can understand if I had her for a week, but I felt as if I was being watched ALL THE TIME. Which was very uncomfortable.

One maintence worker, who rides a motorcycle even harrassed me on the road to the apts getting up to my back bumper and revving his engine making me hurry (i was going the speed limit).

It doesn't stop there. A good friend of mine, a former tenant, was REFUSED a lease renewal and was bluntly told, "We don't want you here anymore." Then when she tried to get another apartment, she had to find out from the PROSPECTIVE APTS, and NOT the Baytree manager that she had unpaid late rent fees and damage fees.

The parking is ok IF you don't work late. There are only two handicap parking spaces on my side which is used by a maintenance staff that doesn't have any handicap crudentials that's conveniently place in front of his apt. Otherwise I had to go all the way to the back to park.

It wasn't ever noisy but my neighbors were very rude about speaking loudly at 4am on a Sunday. However, if I had my COMPUTER speakers barely loud enough to be heard in the kitchen I get a noise complaint.

The Security gate was the luck of the draw for the first year. Some nights they had it wide open and some night they had it closed. I didn't feel very safe.

The structures and building were usable but my kitchen sink was out of place and the walls had holes for the roaches to come in through.I would have complained or created work orders for all of these things IF the managment and employees weren't such a hassle to deal with.

On an upside the apt's did have very nice lanscaping by Diana who was a very sweet lady. The only complaint I had was that the walk ways often have bushes covering it.

If you want to be treated COMPLETELY unfairly or be giving anything you want then try your luck at Baytree because I believe these women are descriminate, rude and will try anything to make you leave. I've been harrassed, threatened, watched, and even treated like crap by both managers.
