Everhart Place Apartments
Prospective Resident · 2013
Listen to the reviews!!! I transferred to corpus and did all my apartment searching online this property looked good and the price point was kinda low. I sent my deposit via USPS before stepping foot on the property. I lived 9 hours away so I couldn t exactly drive down and take a look at it. I arrived at 1:30pm on my move in date and went to the office the sign read will return at 3:30pm (red flag #1) we drove to the shore and grabbed a bite to eat and killed 2 hours doing tourist stuff. Arrived back at the office at 3:45 with my Penske ready to move in. the same sign was on the door so I called the answering service they took my number and said the manager would call me back. I did this for the next 2 hours and no one called me back. So I decided to walk around I realized this property was bad no landscaping it a lawn chair floating in a green dirty pool and stray cats running around everywhere. I found my unit number and the window was broken and the door was opened. I went in and first thing that I noticed was all the cockroaches everywhere the was horrible broken cabinets no lights missing doors. While I was looking through the unit a maintenance guy came in and asked what I was doing there. I told him I was supposed to be moving in and that the manager had told me this unit was ready by the 22ed of November it was now the 2ed of December. The maintenance guy told me it was not ready yet. So by now its 6:30pm I have no where to live and a full moving truck. I decide to get a hotel and try to contact management in the morning. In the morning the manager told me she had to go to the hospital and her assistant was sick. I asked for my deposit back and the email of my work stubs so I can get find another place to live. She gave me back my deposit but then told me she couldn t find a copy of my pay stubs which I emailed to her. RUN AWAY AS FAST AND AS FAR AS YOU CAN FROM THIS PROPERTY!!!!!
