Where to start? First, I showed up at our agreed upon date and time to sign my lease and move in, and was told the apartment would not be ready for another week. Since I had come from out of state, obviously that was unacceptable. They then made me and my movers (while I paid them) wait almost 4 hours while they half assed getting the apt somewhat livable. The next day I turned in my move in checklist and told them of several things that needed to be fixed asap. After two weeks, I decided to complete a formal maintenance request since telling them face to face apparently does no good at all. Another week went by so I filled out ANOTHER maintenance request for everything. Finally they came the next day. One of the issues was that the water temp from my faucets are just short of boiling and my showers fluctuate from normal to ice cold, to damn near boiling temps. I was told this was normal because there is only one water heater for the entire (400+?) unit complex and the pipes are in series so the last building in the chain wont have hardly any hot water, while mine is almost boiling right out of the faucet. It took the threat of a lawsuit for burning a child before they agreed to do anything about it, that was a week ago and still nothing has been done.
Roaches EVERYWHERE! I keep a clean house and it is much better now than when I moved in. They also spray twice a month, but they are still a problem.
The trash is disgusting. There are only 2 dumpsters for the entire complex which are overflowing within hours of the truck dumping them. Which means within a day there is trash piling up all over the parking lot and as windy as it is here, the trash is everywhere, all over cars, sidewalks, grass areas. Its gross. GET A COUPLE MORE DUMPSTERS!
And lastly, if you do decided you might want to live here, make sure you see the actual apt you are moving into before signing the lease. They trick you with their model unit which looks really nice. Nice cupboards, nice walls and paint, new plush carpet, very well maintained. My actual apartment, the cupboards are made of plywood and stink from what appears to be some liquid the previous tenant spilled and it got soaked up by the untreated plywood. The carpet looks like it was installed in the 80s. A very lazy paint job so there is splatter and over spray everywhere. The front door doesn't even work right. This is by far the worst apartment I have ever seen or lived in. 11 more months of this hell hole.
