This is going to be long, so bear with me. First and foremost, DO NOT LIVE HERE. 1. I had to get all my packages sent to my work because they drop them on your doorstep and about 80% of the time, you will never get them because they get stolen before you can see them. 2. Something with the water pipes bursting/not working/construction across the street etc (basically ever excuse you can think of) has happened and my water smells like sewage and its UNBEARABLE. The management told me its just my apartment but the maintance guy let it slip that its my entire side of the building. He said "the water is still good to drink and shower in. Just give it a couple more days." SURE, let me drink and shower in water that SMELLS LIKE SEWAGE. I can hardly smell it much less brush my teeth. 3. The resident portal for the RESIDENTS "to communicate with each other." I was wondering why no one ever posted anything bad... well turns out, when you post in the resident portal, it sends an email to management and they have to approve it. So, of course, you have no idea what's going on unless you're selling furniture. 4. THE MANAGEMENT IS TERRIBLE. That is, if you get a reply from them. They have sent me multiple emails about signing my end of lease form for when I move out this month, but also sent me emails saying they got my paper work to move out. They told me to sign documents in my MAA account that were signed in JULY (it is currently September). 5. There are SO MANY BREAK INs. My roommate's Jeep had been broken into 3 times in 10 months. Other people's cars have been broken into.. inside the garage. The management has refused to take liability for it or install cameras. 6. IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY, YOURE ON YOUR OWN. Our AC went out in June for an entire weekend. The temperature in the apartment was 98 degrees. We called management, no reply. Put in a service order, no reply. We put in an emergency request to get it fixed, they said they were aware and working on it. It didn't get fixed for 2 days. No assistance was offered, no updates, nothing. My friend lives at the Lofts at Sawyer and his AC went out, within 1 hour the maintenance guys were on the roof fixing it, sending him updates, and offering whatever assistance he needed. 7. We left the trash outside the door in bags to take to the dumpster while cleaning the apartment. Within an hour got an email of a picture of the trash and how it was our first warning. (So they have time to do all this but not answer the phones.... cool.) 8. I used to live on the 4th floor apt #405 (finishing my friends lease) and they told us after we move out, they're going to gut the place and renovate it (it was super outdated, needed new carpet and the walls needed another coat of paint at the least). Well, turns out, when we moved out, someone else from out of town moved in before they changed anything. I feel bad for the people that moved in and never saw the place beforehand. 9. The doors to some of the floors don't work, so random homeless people have access to the hallways. (maybe thats why packages are missing?) 10. Our wifi has been on an off. For days/weeks at a time AT&T will not work and they send a technician to come and look at the place and they say the wiring in the room is so jumbled up that when someone moves in and out, when they fix things it messes up someone else wifi. Lastly, just don't live here, its not safe, and its a constant hassle. Or anywhere else that's an older building and not renovated with terrible management.
