I would highly recommend staying far far away from this establishment. We lived there for 2.5 years, and only stayed because of the location. Maintenance was not completed when requested- we went months without air conditioning, weeks with a fire hazard in our dryer connection, waited hours for maintenance while our ceiling rained down buckets of water, had maintenance fail to repair smoke detectors, among all kinds of other issues. We finally had it when our windows were dripping water from the inside and growing mold, and management refused to acknowledge a problem. We decided to break our lease and move early based on a price quote and lease interpretation given by office staff. We were then charged double this after putting in our official notice. Management and corporate blatantly lied about the quote given, and we were charged $10,000. Management then refused to respond to any communication, and denied access to our maintenance records. We even had someone enter our apartment, pee in a toilet, and leave it there. When brought to management's attention, we were told we couldn't prove it was done by a staff member. No one else had access to the apartment. After moving out, we received contact from a debt collector that we owed money beyond our deposit for a parking pass that we had handed directly to staff. We never received any notification of this charge before hearing from the collector. We were again told we had no proof it was turned in, and management refused to discuss the issue or provide photos or proof for charges. I have never dealt with anyone this disrespectful and difficult to work with, and would caution anyone considering leasing with them to look for other options. If you choose to live here, be sure to take photos and have recorded proof of every interaction you have with their manager or staff.

    Hi Erin, I am disappointed to see your review, as it is not an accurate representation of your experience with us. We addressed and resolved all maintenance concerns in your apartment, including calling in 3rd party vendors to ensure there was no moisture intrusion as you were concerned there may be. All moisture testing came back with the same conclusion, that there was no mold, no excessive moisture, and no issue with your windows. Management did not lie to you and we take issue with that false accusation. You were charged the fees required to break your lease, which you agreed to when you signed your lease contract. The early termination policy is spelled out in the lease contract, and we also walked you and your roommates through it in detail. We sent the balance due letter to the forwarding address you gave us. I am sorry if for some reason you didn't get it, but I am looking at a copy of the letter right now, dated May 15, 2018. We do not enjoy having to respond like this to online reviews, but we cannot allow ourselves to be misrepresented in a public forum. Thank you, Matt Bernstein Gaines Investment Trust 858-617-0884
