Resident 2022 - 2023

9/1/2023

If you're thinking of living here read this, it's not great

I don't even know where to begin. I'll try to keep it brief but it might still end up being sort of long. If you're looking for a place that loves to exploit the fact that primarily young adults live there, this is the place for you! Talk about a landlord special... paint splattered everywhere, light switches and outlets and hair and dirt and bugs just painted over. The whole buildings fire alarm system went off 2/3 times in my one year of living here at 3-6am and wouldn't shut off for hours so we were stuck standing outside. And the smoke detectors would randomly go off for a bit then stop at all times (as in several times a week at any point of the day/night). Elevator 1, located near the office, was down about ~8 times for several days when I lived there. Office availability is extremely low, and even if you get ahold of them, good luck on trying to get them to be nice to you. Speaking of the office, the pool is only open when the office is... as in they wrap a chain on the gate so no one can get in after 6pm on weekdays, and not at all on weekends. On top of all this, it is DIRTY. So dirty. The floors in the hallways and some walls are so disgusting. They did try power washing while I was there but to no avail. The ground is littered with dirt and nasty stains. I get so angry with places that take advantage of their residents, and 33 North is no exception. I genuinely think they are exploiting the fact that mostly college students live here and we sometimes don't know any better or have the means to ask for acceptable living standards. I know this place is cheaper than most, and unless this place is your last resort (as it was for me), save yourself and your money and go find another place to live. I will end on a more positive note though: The maintenance staff was always helpful, polite, and good at their jobs. Whatever they're getting paid, it's not enough. Also, another thing this complex did right was make move out easy. But that's it. (The only reason this has the stars that it does, is because I wanted to be honest about maintenance and the walkability to campus, but if I could give it negative stars on other staff and the complex overall, I would not hesitate)
