The rent is way too much for what you get. My roommate and I share a one bedroom and spend over $800 in rent a month for one bathroom and one closet. I honestly don't understand how people pay that on their own. Everything in the apartment is outdated and barely works. Our oven cooks too hot, and same with the stove. The dishwasher works fine but there is no microwave at all. Also two people cannot fit into the closet of a kitchen at the same time AT ALL. The worst part is by far the noise. I've become used to the 1-35 noise and sirens blaring at all hours. The worst is the maintenance people literally banging every surface imaginable because they are renovating other apartments in the complex. Or the grounds keepers the blow their leaf blowers right outside your window early in the morning. It's awful. Rent is overpriced because they are trying to renovate apartments other than your own. Being close to the mall and such just causes traffic to be backed up all the time. It takes forever to even leave the complex at rush hours. Maintenance fixes take forever because you have to go online and fill everything out and wait. The staff is nice as long as your over the age of 45. The amenities are not what they are all advertised to be. The "dog park" is a fences in piece of dirt. The washer and dryers barely work and never cleaned. The pools are small (honestly haven't had the chance to use them yet) and the one in the sun is basically right next to the main road for everyone to see. The gym can maybe fit 2 people comfortably and is inside the main office, which is uncomfortable. Finally people use the community computers to watch porn without headphones. Wasn't disappointed with my experience, but I wasn't thrilled either. There are less expensive properties in the area with the same amenities, possibly better ones.
