We have lived in this "cesspool" for the better part of two years. When we first moved in it was the first time either of us had lived in an apartment in almost thirty years. Within a week we started to have missgivings. The utilities were initiated in the wrong name. There were cockroaches, and one of the blooming idiots that work in the front office had made arrangements for the utilities to be turned on at the wrong date. That was in the summer. The air conditioning marginally works. Another thing that is ridiculous is that in the Dallas/Fort Worth area there is constantly a water draught problem. Here at Camden, they run the water sprinkler systems all day and several times during the night! Great conservation, huh? Also I have noticed that during the winter months when the lawn has turned a bright shade of beige, and it isn't growing any longer, the landscaping crew is still coming around on Thursdays and mowing the lawns that haven't grown! Remember, this is being taken out of the rent! The other week, it was snowing, and one of their "workers" was outside in the rain and snow with the lawn mower, mowing the lawn! I have inquired at the front office about this only to be told that if these men don't show up, they don't get paid....I beg your pardon? Isn't that their problem? Why should I as a renter be responsible for paying these workers when they are not necessary? The management staff at this facility is totally out of touch with reality. They have told my fiance' that they are making Camden a more upscale complex...than why are they renting to a lower caliber of people? Now, there is drug dealing at the pool, "Chuey Rodriguez and his gang of chuperones" can be heard about five nights a week hollering and shouting all kinds of Spanish obcenities at "whoever" from the tennis courts. Really upscale allright... We will definitly be leaving as soon as we can. They have now launched a campaign to apparently rid themsleves of the Directv dishes which can be seen on so many of the apartments. They are now providing cablevision as part of the rent package. Of course, you have no choice as to accepting this or not....your rent from what a neighbor has informed me, goes up on an average of $150.00 a month. Oh yes, and that is to cover their garbage pick up also... which consists of someone coming by at around eight o'clock monday thru thursday and emptying a small plastic garbage can that they supply. Hardly worth the increase in my book. I have been waiting a long time to write this...that is why it is so long..I wanted to cover everything. I would definitly reccomend looking elsewhere
