Resident ā€¢ 2014 - 2015

12/13/2015

We moved here out of convenience and I kind of knew what I was getting into anyway, but I still feel the need to go ahead and give my honest perspective of this place. The customer service is great as far as politeness and what not, and everyone in the office is super nice, but I am not planning to stay when my lease is up. We have a ton of roaches. It poses a health risk because one was accidentally swallowed and led to something like food poisoning. they live in our dishwasher, sink, and have now found their way into our microwave and coffee pot. Pest control will come in maybe once a month to "bait" your house, even though they are supposed to come once a week... but it doesn't work. We called many times to get someone to do a heavy spray on our apartment, have taken our pets out twice in preparation for them to safely do so, and finally they came many weeks later and spent three minutes in our apartment, only to tell us "don't wash your floors." The roaches are still here... There are leaks sometimes, but they are not as bad as others have complained about. Someone threw something heavy at my windshield and left a huge crack. There is paint peeling off inside of our bath tub. Also the paint on the cabinets must be pretty low grade because any time we open a drawer or something, more paint seems to find its way off. One of my neighbors says she has the same roach issue and has also found critters, which is worrisome. I've had a dull headache for over two months now, probably from either mold, chemical smells from low grade paint, or roaches. I would check our vents to see if it is a mold problem, but honestly I'm kind of afraid that the millions of roaches will fall on me. And boy does it get noisy here. There's a few kids who like to go around the entire complex knocking on doors and asking for stuff, but what's even more amusing is the very angry lady who likes to constantly cuss at people (though she might have moved or been on a vacation, because I haven't heard her in the past week.) And when it rains, some parts of the complex flood right outside of tenants doors. Basically, yeah. This place has potential, believe it or not, if they would just take care of the problems, like a more uniform policy on noise, and if they would hire an actual pest control company to take care of business.
