When I first moved here I thought I was moving up. It was close to my job in Southlake and I had been driving from 820 and east 30 and it became hectic. Whats wrong with Grayson Square? There management is full of themselves. I have watched my rent go up 25% in 1 1/2 years and nothing has really changed at the complex. They have added new washers and dryers that cost 1/3 more to use (gee, you think they could have paid for it with all the money the old broken machines robbed). They have two pools. One is heavily shaded and usually a little to cold to use. The other is the hang out for al the drinkers and smokers who leave bottles/cans and cigarette butts floating in the pool, which is only cleaned twice (in a good week) a week during the summer. And the parties the college kids throw and all the noise you can handle. Call management and they will tell you they cannot do anything and to call the cops. Grapevine police are great but patrolling Grayson Square should not be their main function. Oh yes, carpet. They put in standard cheap apartment carpet but then tell you it costs them an arm and leg to replace it and use that as an excuse to withold deposits etc. Try to move out and you have to give them sixty (yes 60, not 30 like most places ) notice. It is really difficult when you are trying to buy a new home and mgmt. whines how hard and expensive it is too sign up new customers (hello morons you are in the fastest growing part of the metroplex, if this is a problem you should try looking in the mirror). Ok, that is not the worst part. Trash. Yes you will get to see a modern day cess pool as garbage runs amock from trash bins that are not picked up in a timely manner. Surprised I have not seen rats during my stay, but maybe I do not look hard enough. In summary, it is not a crack house in the ------, but you can do better for about $100-150 more per month next door or buy a condo/townhome or house down the road in Euless/Arlington.
