Desert Sands Apartments

This was my first apartment to rent, so I don't have much to compare to, but the conditions I am living under are rediculous. There are many fees they do not tell you about before you sign the contract, as well as the bug infestations they have. The maintenance take at least a month to take care of things, such as changing the air conditioner filter or install window blinds. The office staff is not very friendly, however they do manage to personally deliver your water bill/rent bill to the clip on your door without ever saying a word. God forbid you're a day late on that rent and you get an eviction notice. The fees they don't tell you about include an extra $300 if you somehow end up with bedbugs (which were from the apartment since all of my furniture was brand new), and anything extra maintenance wise. The ROACH infestation in the apartment is so bad I have all of my groceries in my fridge, even my spices. I take my trash out more than twice a day and receive the maximum amount of roach treatments per month, but they still are EVERYWHERE. It is utterly disgusting. I definitely recommend not even paying for the application process. Keep looking for the best place.
