The management company here is horrible. The previous poster was right, they mislead you on the terms of the contract and it changes when you show up on move-in day to get the key and sign the paperwork.
They charge ridiculous fees like PET RENT, yeah, you gotta pay $15/month just to have a goldfish.
They force you to buy renters insurance to insure THEM against any damages you cause, and of course comes with a $500 deductible. That adds another $30/month to the cost of living here. Not to mention, you'll still have to pay the standard damage deposit, etc like most apartments, so they get you for both.
They force all the tennants to pay inflated water and trash bills (they add in their "administrative fees" and, get this - THEY ADD UP ALL THE WATER USED BY A BUILDING (INCLUDING THE SPRINKLERS) AND DIVIDE IT UP BY THE RESIDENTS IN THAT BUILDING. How absurd!!! If you want me to pay my water bill, then bill me for MY water!
They also require 60-day notice of intent to move out, which makes it almost impossible to find another apartment since other apartments only require 30 days notice. So, you have to guess whether or not you will be able to find another place and just go ahead and give notice to move out at the end of your contract. THEY TRY TO TRAP YOU!! DON'T FALL FOR IT! insist on a 30-day move out notice for the end of your contract for any apartment you rent and they won't give you that here.
I'm sick of being screwed by the Bellagio. Houses in the neighborhood next to here (which is nice) rent for the same price as an apartment here. Just move one block over and enjoy a whole house. Bye bye Bellagio!!
