Canal Street Apartments

These apartments were built Nov. 2005, so they are fairly new. It is alot of older residents here, but everyone is friendly and especially the front desk staff. Everytime I come in or our, they always acknowledge me and know me by name. These are efficiencies [studio] but they are spacious enough for one person and the rent is AFFORDABLE! Very nice place to rent I recommend 100%. The only thing that I dislike is that when someone wants to visit you, they have to sign in with ID, but I guess thats a 'safety' issue, but thats ok. If someone wants to spend the night....the guests have to pay a $4.00 fee and have to sign out by 10am, and that can get annoying, but i guess thats ok if you dont have people coming over much. Also, there is not enough parking if you are going to be home in the evenings. Many nights going out with friends, I end up sometimes having to park my car on the side street. No problems with that thank goodness, but there needs to be MORE PARKING!!

Very safe and quiet neighborhood: right in Second Ward, just around the corner from Downtown Houston. Also next door is the Original Mama Ninfa's resturaunt!

Very lovely and affordable apartments and all staff and residents are very nice people. Recommend to anyone! :) also, electric is paid for by the apartments and basic cable!!

their website is www.newhopehousing.com
