Thank you for taking the time to provide a comment about our community. We would like to schedule a time for you to meet with the property manager to discuss your concerns regarding your safety. The survey that was due on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 was the first step we are taking to improve our gate access. We also have scheduled quarterly safety meetings, in addition to participating in HPD's National Night Out event. In response to the compactor, there are two locations within the community for our residents to use. We have had several changes in the leasing staff and know that change can lead to mistakes being made unintentionally. Thank you for taking the time to post a review; we understand your frustration and would like to resolve all of your concerns. Unfortunately, staffing changes are necessary from time to time. Hayman Company always strives to hire professional team members on all of our properties and we strive to provide good customer service. We apologize that you feel we have not done so. We take resident complaints very seriously and seek many avenues to resolve them as quickly as possible. Please understand that some issues involving neighbors must be handled delicately. With the current shortage of talent in this and other industries, aligning recruiting, training and employee retention is where we are experiencing growing pain. Dear anonymous, We appreciate your comments regarding your residency at Lodge at Shadowlake. We appreciate all comments as they give us a better understanding of what we do well, as well as, which areas we need to improve. We would first like to address issues you have had with your neighbors. The Hayman Company would like to note that our application process includes a background check, credit check and income verification. Fair Housing laws require that we accept all applicants who meet those criteria. Please realize that no system is perfect, there are no tests that determine if an applicant makes a good neighbor. If there are disturbances, we have a procedure of warnings that could lead to lease termination and once we are made aware of on-going disturbances, we begin that defined process to address these issues. In regards to the increase in your rent price, we understand that the issues you have faced contradict an increase in price. However, the price of our rent is determined on local market surveys and availability that ensures that our price is fair and competitive to the rest of the market. It is clear that maintenance has become a recurring issue during your stay. The Hayman Company supports non-emergency service requests, and strives to complete the request in 24 hours. If this is not the case, please let us know by reaching out to us at this e-mail [email protected] Lastly, we would like to address the safety concerns you discussed. As you recognized, crime can happen anywhere. We have taken as many precautionary measures as we can of having the community access points gated as well as installing security cameras to overlook the parking lots. However, like anything, cameras can break and gates can malfunction. All we can do is prepare the best we can. Once again, we would like to thank you for your comments. Dear jizzle83, Thank you for commenting about the experiences you have had while at The Lodge at Shadowlake. The Hayman Company understands that break-ins and crime in a community can be scary and unsettling. We have taken precautionary measures of having the community access points gated as well as installing security cameras to overlook the parking lots however, it is important to realize that no matter how many precautionary measures a community has taken, crime still has no address and can happen anywhere. It is an unfortunate part of our society today but remains something that The Hayman Company assists with crime prevention measures taken by law enforcement agencies. In regards to your comments about maintenance, The Hayman Company supports non-emergency service requests, and strives to complete the request in 24 hours, if possible.
