I came to Houston because I had to leave my home of 7 years when Hurricane Katrina kicked us out. We were very desperate to find a place and kept getting sent to places I was scared to park my car. It started to feel like it didn't matter how I lived before I was being pushed to live in a place I could never feel good about.
I went to a place that was on the Sam Houston Tollway and Wallisville and it was so nice. My hopes were quickly shot down when they said "NO VACANCIES". The staff there told me about a community that had the same style of apartments that they had. She said she stays in touch with the manager because they do surveys(I think that is the right word) and the manager has come to see there apartments when she first started.
She called them and the manager told her she only had one apartment left and then I talked to her and got the directions.
Before I ever got there I was sure this would be my new home. I met Angie(the mgr) and she told me all about Magnolia Creek. She let me meet the rest of the people there and told me they were all there to help us. I am so impressed with my new apartment. It was such a pleasant experience during a time when everything I owned fit into one bag. I am luck that I do have a district office here and houston and I am truly thinking about making this my new home.
I couldn't imagine being somewhere else. We just went through another hurricane(Rita) and they thought it was going to hit this area really bad. I can say we made it through this one with just a lot of wind but these apartments must be very sturdy because I didn't get any damage.
