living in N post oak lofts

My experience in N post oak lofts I love staying here the neighbors are friendly they keep the outdoors clean the pool is always clean the machines in the gym work. I've never had a problem with them coming to fix anything in the apartment when asked to. I love how big the rooms are the master bedroom is huge and there is a playground area for the kids that is always kept up. the staff are friendly and always willing to help and get back with you in a timely matter even when busy.

    We love living here! With a recent change in management, everything is back to the pre-pandemic/ deep freeze level except for community parties due to the continued health dangers. Hopefully they will begin again this summer as I know that many people enjoyed them! Our apartment is fantastic, spacious and well laid out. The gardens are back to beautiful with new palm trees and all of the dead plants replaced. The pool area, gym and hot tub look fantastic. We love working with the new management team, they are very proactive and professional. I personally have no problem finding parking at this time, I have noticed quite a few unused spaces when I walk to my car in the early morning. You can't beat this location for convenience in getting to Downtown, Memorial Park, The Galleria and Town and Country/ City Center and more! Beautiful apartment homes, well managed and convenient. What more could one ask for?

      We have lived here for years and love this community. We all had some tough times over the last couple of years but new management has really shaped things up lately. We love loving here for the location, amenities and the great management. I can't think of a better community at this price point. My thanks to the management for making things so much better!

        THE WORST PLACE TO APPLY FOR AN APARTMENT. THIS PLACE PUT ME THROUGH THE WORST APPLICATION EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE I applied to this apartment 2x the first time my co applicant didn’t get approved but I did so instead of telling me that the apartment was no longer available the leasing agent told me to just get the paperwork need to fix the application. Got the paperwork, he says the apartment isn’t available. I say well I was approved, his words ( well you’d have to do a separate application on your own) and pay 375 all over again. Mind you they don’t refund you when they cancel your application. I apply again, this time for some odd reason the paystubs weren’t enough. I provided pay stubs, bank statements and a offer letter from my job. He tells me they need proof of employment. Idk what language he reads but I’m sure a paystub from your job is proof of employment. But ok, he asks to send the email to the employer, the employer completes it and sends it back.             My wife and I have lived at the North Post Oak Loft Apartments for seven years. In January 2020, the complex was sold and a new management company put in place. About the time they started to work on improvements COVID-19 hit and everything stopped. Now the manager, Jacqueline, is once again looking to get things on track and is eager to work with residents to find ways to improve the complex. We are confident the community and service will improve under her management. We have enjoyed living here and would recommend these apartments to those looking for a new place to live.

              Since the new Manager is here, it's just awful. The hallways are dirty. There is no more event. The swimming pool and the BBQ place stay closed even if in all other condos, they reopened, as the governor allowed it. Last, we don't feel safe as before. What a pity ! It was a great place before with Olivia.

                Living in this apartment complex has been an utter nightmare. The management has been so incredibly hard to communicate with. There have been a plethora of issues here from many break ins in the complex, loud noise, lack of parking, and also had someone in a pick up truck literally follow me multiple times while I was waking my dog. We even had a break in attempt and had to get the cops involved. I brought many of these issues up to the apartment and they ignored it completely. The front desk and management are extremely rude and will NOT take time to help you properly. There is no such thing as customer service here. During COVID-19 stay at home order, they closed their office doors the next day with no plan given to residents and became extremely hard to reach. I don't remember seeing any notice about handling maintenance issues or other concerns. I would NOT recommend living in this place to anyone. Please save yourself from the troubles and horror of this place and live somewhere that's safer and where the management cares for your well being.

                  The place look nice and its well kept at lease on the outside. Management is horrible, They make money out of tenants when they move out by imposing penalties and making up stuff and if you don't pay it of course it would go to your credit history. Do not move there if you don't want to not only lose your security deposit and a couple hundred dollars more since they will outrageously over charge you that even after applying your deposit, you will end up owing them money.

                    Beware....Lease here only if you're DESPERATE and want to save a couple hundred in rent. Horrible place as residents park in your assigned space and management won't tow. There is NO extra parking. If you have two cars to an apartment good luck finding a spot... you may have to park down the street and walk a mile. If you have a guest come, they can't park at the apartments they have to park down the street. Your only allowed 1 guest in the pool area, they do patrol to make sure your in compliance. Olivia - assistant manager, is in charge of move out. She won't walk the apartment with you before you move out so you have an opportunity to fix anything she finds unsatisfactory. She'll tell you just take pictures. They took $300 out of my security deposit for normal wear and tear, minor markings on the paint . We lived there for 18 would fall under "normal wear and tear".                         An honest opinion about North Post Oak Lofts. I moved in the latter part of the year last year, and to this day, I do not have any major complaints about the apartment community. Are there things that can improve, sure, but what apartment community doesn't come with a fault? The benefits: 1) Great amenities! Spacious pool, a theatre, hot tub, a clubhouse, and a workout room that actually smells clean. I am working out late evenings, and I like the fact that it doesn't smell like a high school locker. 2) We have an event on a weekly basis (Yoga, cardio, food trucks, social gathering events, breakfast brunch, wine nights, painting, etc.) It's nice and comfortable to have something to look forward to once in a while at home. 3) Neighbors are friendly and overall, great people. I don't have to concern myself with coming home late and be leery of anyone walking around aimlessly. It's actually quite well behaved.                           I lived in North Post Oak Lofts for two years and overall it's a pretty nice place to live. I would recommend not living on the side that faces the warehouses because they start working at 6am. I really enjoyed the office staff and maintenance was always done in a timely manner. The staff was always courteous and willing to help me. There was a problem with people not picking up after their dogs but it seemed to be getting better when I left. Visitor parking is bad at night because it is outside the gates and it's only about 20 spots. The main reason I left was because the rent was increasing more than what I was seeing in the market and I wasn't seeing any improvements to the property. It is a great place for young couples and the pool was probably my favorite part of living there.

                            This is the WORST place I have ever lived in!! The parking is ridiculous, the walls are paper thin and the quality of tje apartment is horrible. For the price that you pay you think you would be living somewhere nice but this place is trash! And the staff.. all they care is about getting their money. ----, the property manager is a -----!! She does not care at all. She is in her office doing god knows what and leaves early. Hard to get a hold of her when you have an issue! And she'll enter your home without notifying you because she is "trying to get something fixed". Really she is just being nosy! Lets just put it this way...                               I have been living in Post Oak Lofts for 10 months now and will be leaving at the end of the year, not because i dont like the place but because my contract is ending. Here is my experience: Bad: Parking- Unless you have a reserved spot, you wont find parking after 7PM. Forget about visitor parking. They have this weird rule of one permit per tenant rather than one per car(even though i am paying full rent instead of half and i have 2 bed 2 bath)! when my roommate vacated and my boyfriend was visiting, we had to fight to get a second tag for his car. Cleanliness- More than rarely, i see animal waste in the grass and sidewalks. Other than that, hallways are always clean! Good: Apartment quality: Since they are almost new, apartments are very clean and I personally never had roach and rat problem. Maintenance: I never had problem with maintenance. they are prompt, punctual and neat! usually the turn around is with in one day.Staff are usually friendly and attentive!                                 I recently moved out of NPOL and I enjoyed my time there. The only reason we moved was because the increase in rent and the lack of visitor parking. Besides those two gripes, I was really sad to leave. I never heard my neighbors at all and the community always looked extremely nice. Management was always quick to respond and our service requests were fixed day-of. If you can afford to live there and don't have too many people come over it's a great place to live.

                                  DO NOT LEASE HERE the guest parking got moved off property and in a side alley where cars get broken into, the is a roach and rat problem. If you visit you will get first hand exposure to the roaches and rats, there are rat traps placed around buildings, it is great when you see the rats dying from rat poison. Avoid this property at all costs don't let them get you with a move in special on a 12 months lease you will be trapped, management is out of touch with REALITY and will change rules without consent, example is guest parking NIGHTMARE.

                                    I am a previous resident of NPO. During my time there things were pleasant for the most part,but there were a few things that were bothersome throughout the year I was there. Here's the list: Awty International School-they will wake you up at 7 a.m. on a Saturday with their sporting events; Towing-I was towed from my own parking spot, the underneath of my car was messed up by the towing company, and the office staff at NPO was not at all helpful when I asked what could be done about the $193 it took for me to get my car out of the tow lot. Upon move-out, I was charged for extensive carpet cleaning-I have photos; the floor was not dirty and also painting of the outside of my front door-who has control over outside elements like pollen or someone scratching the paint? All in all, I feel like I was taken in by the aesthetics of the complex and the friendliness of the staff while being shown the apartment.                                       These apartments are well built and gorgious! Brand new carpetting and appliances when we moved in in February 2013. I have heard no sound through the walls and most of our neighbors keep to themselves. The staff have remained attentive to our needs (though we really haven't had many). They know by mine and my roommates names and have always been friendly and courtious to us. They are also very willing to work with us and our short term lease needs. Visitor parking is an issue, there is only 1 elevator in the main building, the periforal building only have stairs and there is no handicap parking for the individual buildings. These are all things you can see for yourself when you take a tour before signing a lease. The periferal buildings get 1 assigned spot near their building. We have two cars at our apartment and have had no issue findind a parking spot.                                         This community is mediocre at best. It looks good from the outside, but be really carefully if you are looking at leasing in this community. Both Corporate and On-site management are below average. This community gets an A for covering up the problem with parking. During the leasing process they quickly tell you that they have sufficient parking but they neglect to mention that this is based on where your unit is located. The units in the main building where the pool and club house are don't have assigned parking. If you lease one of these units, good luck parking near your apartment. This is especially annoying on grocery days or rainy days. Don't bother speaking to management about parking, they will simply tell you to buy a grocery cart for your groceries. If you are handicap and need to park near your apartment good luck with that too. The only visible spot during the six months I lived here was located conveniently in front of the leasing office.                                             I lived at North Post Oak Lofts for 2 years. Severe "buyer's remorse" shortly after re-signing for the 2nd year. Management was not friendly nor helpful. Maintenance requests and other emails were not addressed in a timely manner, if at all. One example of a small yet quite irritating issue: they stopped changing light bulbs and water filters, instead suggesting I purchase my own (isn't that why I "rent" rather than "own"?) I was fortunate enough to have an assigned parking space although parking rules were not enforced consistently. Not only would I come home to find another resident in my parking spot on several occasions but residents are allowed to park in areas only designated for overflow when there were plenty of spaces open otherwise (making it difficult to drive though the complex). Landscaping and outside lighting became increasingly neglected over time- mulch is only refreshed in areas visible from the road (back of some buildings left unattended for over a year). Discarded trash and dog waste is commonly found around the premises. Overall I was not happy with increasing rent and decreasing customer service/maintenance.                                               We have lived here for about six months. Overall, we are satisfied with the apartment itself. The rent is pretty high, but to us, it is worth it to not have a commute at all. Much like everyone else said, parking is a serious issue. We are on the side that has little/no parking so we do have one reserved spot. If our rent stayed the same for next year, we would probably stay here rather than move. The office staff hasn't been the most helpful, but every once in awhile we have a good experience. Overall, if you have a reserved parking spot and only one car per apartment, you would probably be ok. It was important to have a short commute for us, so we spend more on rent since we don't pay tolls or have to fill up our tanks often.

                                                I am having a really bad experience with this apartment; I m just waiting for the day that my contract is up to leave. The apartments are overpriced for the size and quality. Please don't let the first impression fool you, these apartments are nothing but a joke of high scale lofts with cheap material; it is like buying a fake Louis Vuitton. Here the top 5 reasons of why I do not recommend anyone to live here: 1.The kitchen cabinets are particle board or chipboard, the same material used in a lot of cheap furniture. The effect is worst with the counter tops, because there are made with granite scrap from one sheet, you can see where multiple leftover pieces were glued into larger pieces. 2.Parking is a nightmare. 24/7 there is tow truck drivers running around towing people s cars if they don t have a parking pass over the rear view mirror. The complex sticker decal that hangs from the mirror, always fall off of the mirror. I saw over 12 cars get towed with in the past month.                                                   I lived here for a little over a year and overall it is a nice complex to live in if your apartment is located in the right place. All upper apartments facing the drive on the North side of the property face what can only be described as the loudest air conditioner farm in the world cooling the warehouses across the drive. These air conditioners run 24 hours a day 365 days a year regardless of the temperature outside and I can only assume it is a refrigerated warehouse? If you are in one of the apartments close by especially building 4 the air conditioners are so loud that your floor will physically be vibrating on any days above 80 degrees. The West side of the property faces a football stadium that frequently has their lights on and events until 10PM or later some nights. The East side of the property faces North Post Oak towards a noisy manufacturing plant and constant Metro bus traffic.
