Windmill Landing Apartments

Some people who wrote in were really harsh. I'll be honest. I'm not going to sugar-coat anything, but I'm also not going to let certain bad aspects affect the entire review.

First of all, some of the people who wrote in do seem to be racist, and while the complex is ethnically diverse, I have not personally seen these "thugs".

I actually don't think that the rent is unfair. It is less expensive than the surrounding apartments and it does have direct lake access. There are the subsidized apartments across the lake, but I haven't really seen any problems.

The maintenance seems to respond quickly, although sometimes they seem to have to come back more than once for the same problem.

There are two very obvious issues that I would want to be aware of if I were considering moving here. 1) The parking SUCKS! Assigned parking may be better with ample visitor parking. Now there is only visitor parking towards the back, so if you're in one of the front buildings, you're visitors either have to walk REALLY far or they park illegally and take the spot of someone who actually lives there (the lateral usually happens).

The biggest issue that this complex has is it's management. It has changed several times since I have lived here, May 2004. I cannot even tell you how many times, at least 3, but probably WAY more. They don't even notify you when it changes, you just get to find out when you go to the office for some reason and you're staring at all new faces. They are disorganized, uninformed, and unfriendly (once you move in).

It isn't so bad that I am going to go out of my way to move out, but if I wasn't already here, I probably wouldn't choose to live here. If we still had the set of management we had when I first moved in, I may recommend it, but currently, I honestly wouldn't.
