I am a current resident hear since 2019. On Wednesday, my car was broken into. I did not know that it was vandalized until the next day when I was leaving for errands. There was a slip from the Houston PD to contact them and I called to see if there was additional information that they needed. They said they did not. Curious as to why the police knew about my vandalism and yet the apartment office never notified me. I called the office and a young lady informed me when questioned about why I wasn't contacted , that they don't email residents. Even though, I receive water shutoff notices, Resident Referrals, and upcoming events all the time. I also received a hand delivered Late Rent notice, that I had called about earlier this week and no one responded. Yet, I never received a notice about my car. Furthermore, the notice that was posted was a small piece of paper located on the left side of the mail boxes. This is a fairly large complex. A small picture size notification is not sufficient to inform residents of vandalism. When I asked her what security measures will be taken because it wasn't just my car, it was several cars that got broken into. She informed me that their plan is to install new lights. Where my car is parked is extremely well lit and I have arrived many a times late at night and have had plenty of light. What is not working is our security gate that has remained open for about 2 months now. Of the two years I have lived here, the gate has worked consistently for about 3 months, tops. On top of that, there was a security guard twice and each time they were there a total of 1 week. I have many a complaint about this property. The disappointing thing is that the apartment is reasonably priced and extremely spacious and yet does not take care of their residents, nor provide sufficient security. I would caution staying here. Only reason I have not moved, is due to the pandemic, otherwise I would have left by now.
