I currently live at Waterford Place and am unhappy with it. When I initially moved in the place was great, the staff was polite and helpful. Now it is not. It s a struggle to get the people in the office to do simple things and the place is has been getting "messy". When I first moved in my dryer had water in it although it was brand-new; however when I called the staff they fixed it right away. All things were like that until the last 6 months or so. All of my lights in my kitchen were out except 1, as well as my stove light was out. I called to have it replaced. Since the living room light is right there it was as big of a deal but I still wanted it fixed so I could see what I was doing in my kitchen. A week goes by and it still wasn't fixed, so I called again. I spoke with the same person again and she said she was the one who put it in and someone would be out that day to see what lights needed to be replaced and come fix them in a few days. No one came that day, or the next. Another week goes by and I call again. I spoke with Paula or Pauline (unsure of exact name ending), which is who I had spoke with the last few times. I asked her when it would be done and she stated how she needed to call the maintenance people to find out. I asked her when she would call me back and let me know. She immediately got an attitude and said she will call back whenever she gets time. I explained how that was unacceptable since she hadn't done what I had asked for the prior two weeks and I wanted an answer that day. She hung up on me. I called back and she answered and started yelling how "this was a business and she had customers to deal with" then hung up once more before I could even get a word out. I called back again and she would just answer and hang up. The next day I called to speak with the manager. I explained how I needed my lights fixed and that my concern is no longer the lights but the lack of professionalism of the employee I spoke with. I told her that I was extremely offended that Paula claimed "it was a business and she had customers" yet I am a customer, a paying customer at that. I don't call and ask for much nor do I cause any neighbor-ly problems. She looked at the maintenance orders and said that Paula hadn't even place orders for my lights and that she would take care of it. My lights were fixed that day. Anytime I call up there and when I say who it is, I automatically get attitude from the staff. I do not appreciate disrespect nor laziness since I bust my tail pulling 50 hours a week working and full time school. I have no respect for this kind of stuff. The trash thing is a real issue too. I rather leave my trash at my door than go anywhere near the trash container. It is ALWAYS everywhere and when they finally get it cleaned up it is infested with ants and spiders, making opening it hard to do. Nasty. It is sad that a place can look decent but if the staff sucks, no one cares to renew a lease there. My lease ends at the end of this month and I will not be renewing.
