First off, this is a real review, not the -------- nonesense people write on this site complaining about petty things. Anyway, I've lived at Heather Ridge for 3 yrs now. the set up of the bedrooms is great - my daughter had her "own" space which she liked. The sunscreen panels on the windows are nice, I could really tell the difference in the electric bill (why don't more apartments do this?!?) It's a relatively quiet complex. Never heard any drama or had any issues. The staff is pretty friendly and my one experience with maintenance was a fairly plesant one (more on that in a second). The down side? no amenities and no real place to stretch your legs or toss the football around, etc. It's not really a place for kids - unless your kids don't really like to be outdoors much. The kids that do live there are all running around the parking lot. There were two incidents I had while living here - 1.)I had gotten a notice that the insluation was going to be checked and routine maintenace was going to be done on my place. That day when I got home, there were ashes from my fireplace covering EVERYTHING in my living room. I was upset of course and didn't clean it - was on my way to the leasing office the next morning and ran into the maintenance guy. He told me a company was hired to that work. The people from that company just happen to pull up at that time. I speak to the lead guy, show him the mess and he offers to have someone clean it (i declined, as I trusted only myself to clean it the way it needed to be cleaned) - point is, I laid into the maint guy (thinking he made the mess)at first and he was nice in explaining everything - it wasn't his fault. second incident was wasps coming into the fireplace the summer/fall of 2009. this was weird and happened to several people at the complex. pest control supposedly sprayed, but i had sealed off my fireplace so I am not entirely sure is they are got. Honestly, I've moving out so I'm not really concerned about it. Leasing people seemed concerned, but didn't react with any real urgency - again, I'm moving out, so it's like: whatever. Why am I moving? found a bigger place, for not too much more closer to my daughter's school. Bottom line? You get what you get. It's a decent place to live just don't expect more than what you see when you stop by. If you take that approach, you'll enjoy living there.
