Hello fellow SFR residents. I've placed several complaints on this site in the past, but not this time. I am posting this alert for the wellbeing of you, your family, and beloved belongings.<br><br>Yesterday afternoon one of my neighbors had his third floor apartment broken into. The criminals made out with a huge 58 inch TV, widescreen laptop, and many other high dollar items. Some other neighbors have had cars and motorcycles either vandalized or completely stolen (some out of locked/closed garages).<br><br>The really sad part is that no one knows this stuff.<br><br>I know, you say we have a gate and should feel safe, but is the darn thing ever working? The enter gate is nearly always open, plus all my friends and their friends' friends know the code to our gate. The exit gate is the one you personally need to worry about. I've had the big iron exit gate close on both of my vehicles doing no damage to one, but about $400 to the other. Believe me, after living here for almost 3 years I think I know how they should operate. Due to all the signs around the gate, SFR mgmt says they are not liable and refuse to open the checkbooks. What would happen if WE didn't pay our rent?<br><br>What about the courtesy officer you ask? As far as I'm concerned, he's not all that courteous (or helpful), but that is another post in itself.<br><br>If you're having problems here, like me and my immediate neighbors, I would like you to know that there is a higher entity to take your problems if SFR mgmt just doesnt do it for you. SFR is owned and operated by Westdale Asset Management (http://www.westdale.com). I always speak directly with a very nice woman, Kim at 214.515.7047, who seems very receptive to my problems. The best part ... she doesn't want to know who you are.<br>
