Resident 2007

For what I had paid for ($513 for the larger, 800 sq ft apt)it was great with the washer and dryer included. You do have to pay a separate price for water and that would run about $30-40 per month (about $550-560 total) it wasn't bad back then.

However, my one bed w/den rent went up to the price I would pay for a 2-bed 2-bath somewhere else, and I'm sure it will continue to rise. No serious problems, no roaches, no noisy neighbors...But, with me living on the third floor some work should have been done to the stairs as they were worn and terribly cracked. It is hard reaching management if you work 8-5.

Recently there was a fire and an entire building went down displacing a lot of people. It was really devastating and then we found out that the apartments do not have any firewalls installed to help stop fires as they spread-- it's scary (another reason why I am moving).

As far as crime, I learned that no matter where you go, crime is going to happen...I noticed a few broken car windows over the course of two years; I was just always on the cautious side. The complex is really huge so I wasn't always aware of what was going on...And they have been doing a lot of upgrades like an internet cafe and fitness center, but I think they should have been more focused on their things like the parking lots which are full of pot-holes, providing some sort of security and updating the dated appliances. Insulation is poor and the light bill can run as high at $250 during the summer, so be careful. The neighborhood is nice though. A very short walk and there is a duck pond/park. A great place for family and kids.

The sweetest person that worked there no longer does. It's hard to negotiate with them on what you would like, but you get what you pay for...However, now I wouldn't pay what they now asking for my apartment especially when I can go right next door and get a better rate with the same features. They want upscale money with low-budget services.
