Stone Hill from 2001-2003 was ok. I was in a studio from 2001-2002 and then a 2 BR through the end of 2003. They were inexpensive and the BAH went a long way there. Parking wasn't horrible, but there was a lot of glass in the parking lot and my car got messed with - slashed tires, torn antennae, several flats (from glass, nails), and dents from folks banging their doors into the car.
The management at the time was fair. I didn't have any problems with them.
The apartments did have roaches, and mold. The bug-man did a really poor job of spraying once a quarter- he'd sort of fling poision spray in the general direction of cabinets, etc.
The walls were thin and the windows were really thin, cheap plate glass, - heating and cooling was expensive as the insulation is practically non-existant.
The pool was nice and the laundry room usually worked. All in all, not a bad place for a single soldier just starting out; wouldn't recommend for families, or those with nicer cars.
