The faces of the company in the main office are extremely helpful and kind. Almost any time I have had a problem, theyve done as much as they can to fix it. All my work orders get fixed within 48 hours and done correctly. The only real problem ive ever had is with the money grubbing finance employees. One month I was double charged and basically told by an employee who no longer works there to go to the corporate office just to find out i could have had it fixed back at the home office. In reguards to the gym, missing a few dumbells. Parking, could be improved. And the trash... I would rather just throw in the dumpster myself. But, its a corporation and money is its food source. Not much you can do about that.

    Harasses the tenants and issues lease violations for petty items (putting trash out) just to drum up revenue. Argues that they are keeping the complex clean whole they hypocritcally let the dumpster overflow for days and do not pick up loose trash in the complex. Nickel and dimes tenants with redundant charges. Shame!

At Soho Parkway, our policies are aimed at providing residents with a comfortable and clean environment, and we apologize if our motives were unclear. We always encourage residents to contact the office with any questions about our leasing agreement to get a better understanding of our policies. Unfortunately, we do not have control over the pickup schedule for the dumpsters and must wait until the city collects trash. We do however try to maintain and keep the community clean - please contact our office if you have a maintenance request or see something around the community in need of attention.       This is 3 months into my second year. When my family intially moved in March of 2016 we were given the greatest special. $0 move in special! No deposit, no app fee, no admin and by the agent who desperately wanted to lease a unit waived pet deposit. I thought it to good to be true. Well now 3 months into my second year and a change of ownership and two different towing companies later. I received a notice to pay a $350 non refundable pet fee plus pet rent. They dated the delivery date of the notice wrong, and are completely unatentive unless it has to do with financial gain. The parking is absolutely terrible. I many nights have had to walk 3-4 buikdings from my parking spot to my unit. The breezeways are awful I have complained several times about other residents either smoking cigarettes or marijuana. By the the way the main demographic these units are 21-30 lots of college students up at all hours always the stinch of marijuana from every other building.         READ! Soho apartments are in a great location but that is quickly negated by the unatentive and rude office staff. Beware! They will be accommodating all the way up to the day you sign your lease and sadly that's when it'll end. They will say anything and blame anyone to avoid even the smallest request. PS. If your looking for even a decent gym don't bother coming to Soho. DON'T TRUST THE PICTURES

          Very impressed with their customer service. After touring with Chelsea, we loved the 3 bdrm. But still kept other complexes in mind as we were new to the area and still seeking a place. What set Soho apart where the consistent calls and emails from Chelsea following up with us. Soho was the only apartments that put forth the effort in wanting to have us call them call. We hit some bumps in the road while applying and Chelsea and the management staff jumped every hurdle with us. Now, 3 weeks later I've Placed 2 different service requests for minor things and within 48 hrs both requests were fulfilled and professionally done. So fast response to service calls and even received a follow up Call for each maintenance visit. Antonio, was very polite and courteous to our home. In my first maintenance visit he did more work than he was ordered to do that day. Instead of making me submit a whole new requests (my last apt.             This was by far one of the worst customer service I have received in a long time. It was 5:05 when I got into the apartments and I wanted to take a look at an apartment Chelsea let me know, ma'am we kind of stop showing at 5:00 sorry. Maybe you could come back tomorrow. If you want to seal the deal NEVER tell a customer ummm sorry we stopped at 5:00. This was the only reason I did NOT want to rent from SOHO. Customer service tells you let me go the extra mile to get this resident. They can use a course in being more people oriented, if that's how they treat you to get you in, this is a HUGE sign of how they will treat you when you get in. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPLEX.

              Don't just walk...run. We didn't even sign a lease and are having financial issues. We did the application (without reading the reviews I might add) and at the time of application paid the admin fee, application fee and deposit. After having a few days to consider and read the current and past resident reviews we opted to not proceed. Upon requesting return of the deposit we were told it was non-refundable. Now I agree that the app fee and even the outrageous admin fee should be non-refundable but the deposit? The deposit is to protect their financial interests in the event I break or destroy something in the apartment...an apartment that someone else still lives in! I have filed a claim with the BBB and will be contacting the management company tomorrow. Last stop will be a legal consult..this is ridiculous. Please note I had to select star information for all of the items above to be able to post...I have not lived here so I cannot accurately comment...

                Where do I start, I currently live here.....and its terrible. Management doesn't do anything other than try to swindle in a new renter. Calls and emails usually go unanswered. Dog poop every where. The entire complex is VERY dark at night and unsafe feeling because of that. They have added 2 smoking receptacles to each of the buildings so somebody can stand out in the hall way in front of your door and enjoy a lovely smelling cigarette. If you take a minute to look it up, that is a violation of McKinney city ordinance. If you have children, well there's nothing for them. But your dog can play poop filled dog park. Hurray! They say there are dog restrictions but I've seen Rots and Pits multiple times. I've had do deal with neighbors leavening trash out side of there doors when Valet Trash doesn't pick up creating a lovely smell of cat urine rolled baby diaper flavored cigarette. On the subject of Valet Trash....they normally miss picking up at least once a week. So if you'd like to experience what its like to pay to live in a dumpster, then choose this place.                   I have been a resident at the Soho Parkway Apartments in McKinney for 3 years when did these three years there have been at least two to three different management companies the staff is a constant revolving door you never know who you're going to get everytime you call in messages don't get received or ever returns parking is atrocious when coming home at 9 or 10 on a Sunday night you have to wait at least 30 to 40 minutes trying to find a parking spot I happen to have a second job and don't come home until 2 or 3 in the morning and parking is horrific I have to park too buildings away from my actual apartment the lighting is not good at all so safety is an issue the constant traffic that goes in between the apartments that are from the other apartment complex people speed and don't care there are many residents that have dogs true let them use the bathroom wherever and do not clean up after them so there is constant dog crap everywhere that you have to look make sure you look the previous apartment management that used to be there when… See More>

                    I moved in last summer and I work from home so I see more then most residents likely do. I also have a dog so I walk a lot and again I am sure I see more then most residents. The unit I was given was cleaned pretty well, new carpet, overall pretty clean and nice for the price. The maintenance team as been very quick to fix my issues and are always very polite when doing so. The staff in the office has been very nice and professional when interacting with them. Now for the bad, and to be fair their is a new property manager and some of these things might be addressed soon. The parking has as many others indicated been pretty bad. There have been occasions where I come home after 12am on a Sunday and end up waiting 30 minutes for a spot. Lately in the last few months it hasn't been so bad.                       I personally have lived in 4 different apartment complexes in McKinney Texas and out of all my experiences, Soho parkway has been my favorite!! a lot of my neighbors have given the management complains about parking but in my opinion if rules were not set, rules would not be followed! all visitors must park in visitors and residents get parking stickers for free ensuring a spot for us every night we come home!!! My apartment is closer to Stacy and I could not be happier. I have wood flooring, granite countertops and I am right in the middle of everything! I could get to 121 in 2 minutes,380 and highway 5 in 10!                         I agree with all of the comments regarding parking. My daughter (in from college) borrowed my truck to visit a friend last night. She parked in one of many unmarked spots available, and came out 30 minutes later...truck gone. She walked to the front of the complex to find the State mandated sign, which indicated towing is enforced at owner's discretion. When we picked up my truck from impound ($290), they chuckled and said, "let me guess, Soho, right?" Yep. "They are notorious...they are the worst." I just got off the phone with the manager. They SAY there are guest parking spots and she agreed that if they were full I wouldn't be able to see the markings indicating such; hence, a visitor wouldn't know there was a designated area, and would therefore park in any space without clear markings indicating they were reserved or restricted. Typically in complexes with under supply of parking for residents, there will be signs indicating certain rows and blocks are reserved for residents.                           I've been moved in here about six months, and planning to move out as early as possible, because of awfully disproportionately less number parking facilities. In wet and cold weather one has to suffer a lot. The company made lot of paid garages and deployed very active towing company and kept open parking extremely limited with purely unethical commercial intention. Another lacking is the owner does not pay any heed to pest control. I'd suggest the potential tenants please do not move with sweet words of the officials, Please check parking for your vehicles.

                            I have lived at this complex for two and a half years which spanned two management companies. The original company seemed to be more involved with the community by way of communicating changes or policies and holding events centered around holidays etc. The new company has largely been silent with the occasional "pick up after your dog" reminder. This complex is very crowded and it's hard to tell if that is due to residents or the many visitors that seem to fill the place. There is not even close to enough parking for the residents without the "designated" visitor spots taking spots from paying residents. I was told that if I, as a resident, were to park in a visitor spot then I was subject to towing. I get home very late as I work during the day and immediately go to school after until 11pm. I have driven around my area for 30 minutes looking for a place to park only to find a visitor spot on the far end of the complex and I'll take it every time if it means getting into my house to sleep for the next day.                               I love living here and I like how quiet the community. The only two major problems is that there is no parking spots available when coming home late at night and there isn't a playground for kids so they play in the parking lot which is dangerous.

                                    Roach infested buildings (have been trying to get roaches out for at least 6 months, management does not force dirty neighbors to receive spray so the roaches come through the walls, AWFUL. Filthy pool area. Management has poor attitude and not helpful. Rent checks often go "missing" and you may find a "notice to quit' on your door, followed by an apology and "strange sequence of events" as to why they lost the regular auto-pay check from your bank. Parking situation is TERRIBLE. Many nights you may get home from work at 5 or 6 and have to drive around looking for parking. Waiting list for parking garage has been "lost" and you will need to dig out your emails to find out what number you are on the list (been waiting over 1 year and list hardly moved) Again, management is rude, cocky and would rather get you out and the low income residents in than address issues. Came to "paint over' mold in apartment and "spray air freshener" to remedy mold.                                       They day I moved in I clearly could tell that house keeping didn't not passed by my apartment my refrigerator was dirty n mirrors were dirty my shower head had mold the shower stopper was rusty n had mold my bathroom floors had hair everywhere I had to clean up my apartment myself, then my washer wasn't working properly they did. however came n fix my washer n chancngw my bathroom stoppers n shower head almost the same day but the first impression that I got from my apartment made me want to cancel my contract with the complex.

                                          Currently the parking at this complex is awful!! I came home yesterday and had to wait an hour before someone left so that I could park. Contacted the office and I really feel like I got the brush off!! This was actually from the assistant mgr.!!!

                                            Everything has been taken care of, the office and maintenance responds quick and I always know when they come. The only thing I am upset about is not having my carpet changed out upon move-in. It's very worn and flat. No cushion to it at all. Not happy with it.

                                              All experiences with the staff have been great. Parking is the biggest issue. There's no reason that residents are not authorized to parking in a visitor parking spot if those are the only spots open. Doesn't seem fair for me to have to hunt for a spot when I am paying to live at the complex! Also, instead of painting the building some money should have been spent on gym equipment along with lighting throughout the community.

                                                  The management and staff here are rude, unprofessional, and hostile. I would not recommend moving here. The utility bills are extremely high and the walls are paper thin. Almost every noise can be heard whether on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd floors. I regret disregarding the reviews and comments that past and current residents posted about this property, and now I am paying for it. It is extremely hard to find a parking space, there have been times where I've had to park 4 buildings over and walk to my apartment late at night. And the street lights are always out. The McKinney police department is always out at the property.
