Very poor management of my particular unit. Everything from the sink, garbage disposal, dishwasher to a giant hole in my ceiling caused from water damage in the unit above me was never dealt with or fixed. Meanwhile I paid full rent until the day I couldn't take it anymore

    Great community

    These apartments are a great place to live. I recommend them to anyone who wants to live in good friendly environment. Also have great staff members (Heather Jones) and maintenance men. Heather has always been kind making it easy to stay here for many years.

      The community is excellent and the neighbors are mostly friendly. Packages don't get stolen. Lots of parking space and quiet. No one is up in your business, you go and come without being monitored. I like the freedom.

        It was great at the beginning. Then maintenance man Craig left and we can't get anything fixed. Not to mention my AC unit had to be replaced after going out two summers in a row. Then the heater went out and they had to replace it. We have multiple outstanding requests but because the property cannot keep an office staff NOR a maintenance staff we are all suffering. I love the location. I love the price. I love the vaulted ceilings and in house laundry. Struggling with smells of weed and multiple dog apartments as well.

          Amenities are outdated and often inaccessible. Maintenance is severely lacking in support and training. Bare minimum repairs are been made and it shows. Outdated apartments and appliances. Damages from previous tenants have simply been painted over instead of being addressed.

            Office management will completely ignore your emails. Maintenance takes several months to fix anything. Anytime you want anything fixed you have to repeatedly contact the office to get something to happen. Twice the office as added a forced charge onto our rent for "not having renter's insurance" when we have an active policy. Our car was towed from the parking lot despite being on the "do not tow list" but since it was a separate company we had to spend hundreds of dollars to get our car back. The apartments are old and things are constantly breaking down, they'll ignore you while it happens and increase rent everytime the lease is set to renew.

              The first year in at Hawthorne house was amazing. The second year I signed a 15 month lease. I went the whole summer without ac and they found mold in the walls they have yet to fix. There has been so many manager changes nobody knows what's going on.

                I like how quiet it is here. The maintenance crew fix any issues in a timely manner. The office staff are friendly and helpful. My only complaint is I wish they would update my appliances. I have enjoyed living here.

                  This company either doesn't pay their employees well or doesn't take pride in hiring quality employees. The grounds are not kept up and there is trash blowing around. The dumpster has trash around it a lot. The pool has been constantly dirty over winter. The grass areas are mostly brown and the mow and blow doesn't do much. The block pavers around the parking lots are trip hazards and have not been fixed or moved in over 5 months. My hot water heater needed replacement for over 2 months and still has not been replaced. It constantly trips and I have to reset it an hour before showering. No help from the maintenance or the office staff.

                    It took them five days to fix my water heater. They let it leak for five days. There was no pan under it so the carpet in my closet is ruined and it stinks. Trash cans are always overfilled trash all over the community. Wish I would have stayed where I was.

                      Other than the lack of response or action from maintenance everything has been great. The office staff has been helpful and resolves any issues I've had. The website is user friendly and gives me easy access to make a payment at any time.

                        It's okay , would be better if things would get fixed on time. For the most part I like my lil area nobody bothers me and I don't bother them , office staff is understanding for the most part . Really no problems.. except for maintenance

                          It's a quiet community but the plumbing smells horrific. The water comes out dirty brown. It smells like poop. The water even messes up the sinks it's really hard. The apartments are well kept other than that

                            It's an okay place. The grounds aren't horrible and the pool is nice during the summer. My apartment has a weird dip in the living room that causes everything to roll towards the center. There are two light switches in my apartment that don't control anything. I've asked the front desk if they could help out, but there isn't much they could do to assist. Other maintenance gets done fairly quickly. Parking can be tough day to day, but there are generally spots.

                              I Got Served An Eviction Notice

                              One things for sure Hawthorne House don’t give a ---- how long I have been here they don’t care about me as a tenant here. The only thing that they care about is their money and granted I didn’t get paid today through my job and I came home and I got served an eviction notice. Now granted it is the 10th and I was supposed to get paid today and these people clearly do not give a ---- about me and my situation. Apartment complexes they never see us as individuals they only see us as money we are nothing but statistics to these people. Now granted I am going to have to pay my rent as soon as possible and next month I’ve already told the manager that I’m turning in my 60 day notice I don’t care man I was rather live out of the street then live in an apartment anymore I can’t do this anymore.

                                          These apartments suck. Ever since we got new office staff they don’t give a ---- about the complex. There’s trash everywhere, and they don’t even take care of the landscaping or trash getting in the halls. Nobody knows how to ------- park, there’s multiple vehicles that don’t even belong here. And when I talked to the manager (crystal) she told me there was nothing she could do. Not about the parking or trash, just anything in general because she’s “new”. I haven’t seen any changes. You ask them for something that the past office staff used to do and these new people say “ We can’t do that “ . Super annoyed by the new office staff. The people here are so ------ and they leave notes on your vehicle and they also key the ---- out of it. But the STAFF won’t do anything about it. They don’t have a courtesy officer or anything. This place just sucks. I wish I could give It 0 stars!!!!

                                                so far my experience with the complex has been very good. Both Michelle and Juan are very friendly and have been extremely helpful with making my transition as smooth as possible. It is in a great location and offers a lot of different amenities. I especially like that they are pet friendly and that I didn't have to choose my dog over a place to live because my dog is my world.
