I moved in here over a couple months ago and I absolutely love this place. I recommend it to everyone who asks me where I live and the neighbors are very friendly. It's a community with very many cultures and that's good to see here. The staff is also one of the reasons why I liked this place the most, they are very friendly and helpful. Marylou was one who helped me out and she was amazing wonderful. She was very polite and respectful and really made me feel excited to call here my new home, I would recommend anybody to her for anybody looking for a place to call home here!

    This is an excellent property for the money!! When I first came by to see the property there was a real sweet and helpful girl in the front office, her name was Desiree very professional and helpful!! Overall customer service was the best I have ever had!! Did walk through and it was a wonderful experience!! Moved in right away and love it!!

      I tried to be very positive of living in this apartment complex but unfortunately with so many issues I cannot deceive anybody who has laid interest in this apartment complex. The price for a two bedroom apartment is outrageous due to the state of the complex it is not worth the price. All the amenities they claim to have were not available for over nine months. Parking lot is always filled with shattered bottle glass and trash. Dumpsters are always full, water heater cannot keep water warm for more than 30 minutes, there is always small roaches crawling around, the laundry mat on site is worthless and overprice, refused to change dishwasher that made extremely loud noises when washing. Management is uncaring and unprofessional, they are unwilling to assist and will not take responsibility for anything, the tenant is always at fault. As of right now because of a screw up with the employees at that complex I am now being held accountable for a reletting fee plus rent. Management is not willing to work with you at all.         it has actually been a huge turn around since the new management company has came along. i think the office should interact more though like the MGR and ASST MGR they just stay in their office. other than that its actually been a pleasure to live here since the new management arrived before that the office was horrible and so was the maintenance. but the maintenance has a good turn around now put a work order in and it was done the next day! yeti is a great lead and desiree was by far the best leasing agent even when i come to pay rent she makes me feel like i'm welcome everyone else needs to cheer up a bit. but the bad side of the property are the pools and the fitness center but i under stand it takes time to get everything in order other than that i think they are doing a great job compared to the other management company before.

          I have lived here for a little over a year and I find the complex decent to live in. There have been issues with maintenance and the amenities like the pool being closed all the time-opened about 3 weeks in summer and the weight room and business office being closed for almost a year. In all the staff is very nice and the maintenance is much better now. I feel very safe in this complex and everyone seems to get along pretty much. I would recommend this complex to someone else. The market prices also are not bad. Best part is located close to shopping and Northeast Mall which is great.

            These apartments are awful. The police are here regularly(yes, the station is a block away, but they are here, stopped, almost everyday.) I reported a hole that was right outside my building that was a good 3 feet deep from the day I moved in, a literal year and a half later they've decided to fill it. The plumbing is old and unreliable(this was the excuse given to me by the office today, day 3 of them shutting off running water to the entire building when we were only given notice of 1 day without water.) Maintenance usually responds quick, but is hard pressed to actually fix anything, even when its an "emergency" and I find them in my apartment when I wasn't home and without notice.(This happened atleast twice.) Despite paying for pest control the bugs are overwhelming and the unsealed kitchen sink, gaps and cracks in my counter seem to be home to more roaches than I care to think about. I'm assuming the wiring is just as old and unkept because my dining room AND living room light switch(despite efforts to be fixed) has not worked since the day I moved in.                   I been a resident here for 6 years we just renewed our lease again never had problems with the office or neighbors.The school district is great here.The apartments have approved a lot more then they use too with remodeling.Maintance is really good on responding requests.

                    They are older apartments but you can tell they just cover up old issues with some paint and call it "updated". They have cock roaches, you pay monthly for pest control but they only come if you request them to come. Laundry mat is a joke, half of the washers never worked. If you need something fixed it takes at least couple days. Police are always in and out of the complex looking for somebody. When we canceled our lease we had 30 days to move out, on the 24th day they went through all our stuff we still had in the apartment and took a lot of our stuff. *microwave, comforter, Nike socks, vases* and a lot of the other stuff was sitting on the porch, soaked.. thank god we didn't leave anything important. it's just ridiculous.

                              I love my two bed room two bath with a few of one of there nice pools. I have lived here for little over a year now I just renewed my contract. The apartments have low prices and a very big in square footage. Maintaince guys do great work and are always there when I need them on time for repairs in the apartment. Staff of girls in the office are very nice and helpful. Desiree helps me put my work orders and helps with any questions that I have. I do recommend this apartment they are wonderful and have many amenities they just opened there two story fitness center.

                                  I was happy when I signed the lease seeing how spacious yet less expensive the apartment was. Plus the people at their office were nice. But I remember the day I moved in with my husband, that a man in our apartment building was arrested for drugs. Scary thing is that he wasn't the only one to get arrested for drugs, and they don't go for ever, they released them like two days later. That was really scary. We expect some gunshots but I'm glad it never happened. Few days after we moved in, we noticed a terrible smell coming from the dish washer. We called for them to fixe it, they come in but don't get the work done. At first they denied of smelling anything until one of them would finally admit how smelly it made the apartment. I've been living here since April and its December and my house is still smelling like someone died it in. I now sleep away from my house like a homeless person.                                     I have been here about 6 months. I am writing this review in hopes that it saves someone the crap that I have had to go through. The office girls are really nice. But the apartments arent what they make you believe. When I moved into my 2/1 the apartment had not been cleaned. I attached pictures of some of the worst parts. The cabinets were all dirty. The fridge had a bowl to catch the rusty water leak. There was food on the cabinets. The stove was dirty. The tub was dirty. I cleaned the stove and tub. I submitted the pictures to the office. They sent a lady...twice..to clean the cabinets. She cleaned two of the cabinets. The fridge was replaced after about a month of requests. The stove switch went out and it would come on by itself and heat up to the highest temperature. if I tried to use it it wouldnt shut off. the switch would spin.                                       We love living here! My boyfriend and I moved in at the beginning of August 2015. This is not our first apartment we've lived in together and 8500 Harwood has so far blown every other complex we've lived in out of the water. It's little things here that make the difference for us, that may go unnoticed or taken advantage of otherwise. The only "problem" we've had, (and I use quotes because this could, and most likely will, happen at some point or another living ANYWHERE) is our shower faucet had a drip, and the lights in the kitchen were a little dimmer than we preferred. I made a request (online... Also awesome) and they came the next day and everything was fixed. I like to say you get what you pay for and 8500 Harwood has proven to go above and beyond our expectations to make sure we are happy and feel AT HOME.                                         I love living here! I live in one of the garden homes and yet to have ANY issues that the reviews read. Staff is VERY friendly and helpful. Maintenance is there when i need them to fix anything, they all do a great job. Moving into my apartment was very easy thanks to the great staff. My a/c wasn't blowing as cold as i liked and they came out to fix it right away. I couldn't be happier and i am so thankful i ended up choosing 8500.

                                          Living here isn't all that bad there's problems from time to time but nothing major except for the pools were closed for too long this summer which doesn't make for happy little ones but there is a water park near by that offers discounts to residents of this city. but they finally got them open and the fitness center is still closed but hey who can work out in this heat anyway? just kidding id like to shed some pounds before winter comes and i put them all back on again :P i did go into the office yesterday and talked to the staff and they told me to come back next week to get a thing to get into the fitness center so i guess that means its opening up next week?!?! I love my apartment its pretty cozy and overall its my favorite apartment ive lived in so far. sometimes its hard to get a hold of someone over the phone when i need something for maintenance but i finally realized (after a year lol) that i can put in maintenance needs online hahaha whodathunkit? anyways 2 thumbs up ill be renewing my lease next month for another year!

                                            I spoke with a manager today I was very upset and yelling at her but she stayed calm and sweet. Once I calmed down we spoke about my issues I was having and I was assured my problems will be taken care of. All in all my confrontation could have been much worse and I could have just pissed her off.. She seemed understanding of my frustration and I greatly appreciated it.                                               Don't do it. They have such nice, sweet employees working in the office. We came in wanting a bottom floor unit due to my disability. They said they had no units available, but the next day they called and said a unit JUST opened up (looking back...pfft...it was all a gemmick). We should have taken our first impression when we went to see the model unit and drove past a meth-head looking man screaming at a drug riddled woman to never come back and that she was kicked out. But we had this ridiculous positivity because the unit was so much bigger than our last complex. Move in day, we had to keep everything, even the bread, in the fridge because the unit was covered in baby roaches. Still, 5 months later, we are having the bug guy come by every other week. The first 2 months we were here, the dishwasher would not work at all. After 3 repairmen came by and could not figure out the problem, finally one came by and informed us the entire center piece that sprays water was missing.                                                 they got nice pictures, pool, fitness, nice rooms, bla bla.. but once you get in, you'll be have lot of surprises. all these people, mostly the good looking ladies they have in the mgmt team are lying and only focused in getting new customers. the maintenance sucks, never show up. i didn't get to look at the actual apt before moving in.. when i get in, too much stuff, ugly apt, only hot showers, a/c doesnt work well.. i had to buy fan for every bedroom. the fitness room was "opening soon" for more than 2 years.. now thay have "fitness centre open" sign in the leasing office, but actually its not open.. when i asked, they said its under some kind of repair and remodeling.. that is straight lie and false advertising.. im trying to see if i can sue these suckers for false advertising.

We would encourage you to contact the management office and to speak directly to the Community Manager, who is anxious to resolve your concerns. If you are still experiencing service request issues please contact the office so we can get these issues resolved for you. Our fitness center will be opening soon. We have had to do some repairs and will start renovations soon. The center has been open for our residents in the past by leaving your id with the office and being escorted over to the center. We have changed that system and are in the final states of rolling out a new access system that will allow access 24 hours. Between the repairs and implementation of this system we have had to leave the center down for usage to ensure both resident and our contractor safety. If your concerns are not resolved by the Community Manager, please feel free to contact our corporate office and ask to speak to the Greystar Regional Supervisor who directly oversees the community where you live. We will do everything within our power to address and resolve your concerns as quickly as possible.
