OMG!!! Worst experience ever!!!

I was relocating from Arizona to Texas. I saw these apartments on the internet and was impressed with the pictures and the price. I contacted the apartment office and spoke with Maria on August 11th. I explained to her that I would be moving to the area on August 20th. She emailed the application and other pertinent paperwork to me. I made a payment online as Maria directed me to for the application and move in fee. I attempted for 3 days to fax the paperwork back to them but their fax machine wasn't working and I had difficulty getting anyone to answer the phone...should have been my first clue something wasn't right. On the 3rd day, I was finally able to get the paperwork to them. For the next 3 days, I called numerous times only to get a lady that said she worked for a temp agency, and kept apologizing for not being able to help me with my questions.     Run Away

    I signed my lease a month before I moved in. They would not allow me to view the apartment until they said it was cleaned, they would only show me a model. I walked in to get my keys a lady named Odalus or however you spell her name wanted to walk the apartment to make sure everything was ok, she said. She came back, handed me my keys and said it's gorgeous. I walked into a roach infested apartment. I mean the sink was full of roaches they were all over the floor, the walls, and crawling out the vents. I made them give me a bigger apartment for the same rent in a different location of the property now since the day I moved in for six month I have been trying to get them to fix my bedroom window I am on the first floor and it is not able to latch( it can be opened without an issue outside the apartment).       Doesn't deserve 1 star

      They lose all your paperwork and make you resign things. They tell you your rent is $550, then the next month it's $640 plus $5 for a pet you don't have. They'll lose your money order and try and evict you. When they find it, they won't apologise. They never ever answer the phone. The promise to fix things, then refuse to fix it later. The close the pools when it's still in the 90s. Their new manager looks unprofessional with his arm tatoos all out. Atleast the previous scatterbrained manager was nice, professional and apologized when she messed up. This new guy laughs at you and argues. Horrible office idiots.

        What? Did you think I wouldn't review you?

        I moved here for the location and I liked the 1bd 1 den layout. What a horrible idea. Don't move here, thinking all of these reviews are biased and can't be real. The dog feces everywhere smells horrible, there are hardly any sidewalks to walk on so you don't step in it. They hire new, incompetent, rude, horrible office staff every other week (literally). They just hired a new manager, Tony, who promises things, then doesn't follow through. They WILL hang up on you multiple times, they will put you on hold for 15 minutes, then when you show up (while still being on hold), they will pretend they have no idea what you're talking about. They have no maintenance staff, AC units break all the time, good luck getting it fixed. I see so many window units in apartments. If you have a small maintenance issue, they will tell you it's not priority, and that they're fixing AC units instead. 1 month later, your drawer still isn't fixed, and there are twice as many window AC units than before.           Neighbor has it wrong!

          Just found out what my neighbor is saying on here. She brought bed bugs and is blaming it on everyone else yet refuses to comply for treatment! They promptly treated my apartment but she has not been ready 3 different times and the office ended up knocking loudly on their door with a letter and had to force them to cooperate! I love it here and have never had any problems except for this which could have been finished with long ago if they would stop complaining and instead move their furniture!

            Bed Bugs Infestation

            Bed bugs were in the apartment when we rented it. The apartment was treated for leas many times.Upon the exterminator finding that the issue was bedbugs, it took 3 weeks for them mangament to get the person out here to treat for them. They refuse to take any responsibility for this issue and refuse to be proactive in preventing it. The apartment next to mine has the bed bugs and has not been treated. The matress that we put out to the dumpster was taken by someone so now their apartment has the bed buse too. This place is a DUMP.

              Starts like a dream ends in a nightmare

              At first move in they were great. Great to deal with and quick to fix things. After about two or so months that stopped. They always had an excuse to not fix something (the air conditioning was horrible and they often said either it's out of season to fix or they just couldn't fix it right away). Heavy rains made a flood in our living room, which stunk up the carpets living mold or mildew or whatever that stuff was. They only fixed that once and took them forever. The second flood they never fixed we left as soon as the lease was up. They start off very nice and helpful but turn on you when you most need them. DO NOT RENT HERE!

                Bed Bugs Infestation

                When we moved in we got an apartment that was full of bed bugs. We were not informed that this was an issue with the apartment and now they are trying to stick me with the the cost of treatment. I have amedical condiditon that I can not move anything heavy. All the furniture has to be moved 2 feet from the wall for treatment. I am going to have to hire movers to come in and move the furniture for me two times. It took them over a week to get me the check list for what is needed for treatment. The "new" assistant manager left a nasty voice mail stating that they had been by 3 times to treat and we had not been ready. How we could have been ready when we didn't know what to do? THe office is the most disrespectful place I have ever had to deal with and all they do is lie to you to get you to leave the office and shut up. I can't wait to move out.

                  FALSE ADVERTISING

                  I was promised a re-modeled apartment with HARD WOOD FLOORS, GRANITE COUNTER TOPS, AND WHITE CABINETS, MICROWAVE, 2 BED/2 BATH, WHITE WALLS AND AN 85 DOLLAR MOVE IN... what do I get? LINOLEUM WOOD FLOOR NO MICROWAVE WOOD CABINETS THAT ARE DAMAGED, MOLDY, AND SINKING IN ELECTRICAL OUTLETS NOT WORKING 1 BED 1 BATH WITH A DEN (thinking we were stupid and called it a 2-bed) 200 DOLLAR MOVE IN BEIGE WALLS THAT WASH OFF WHEN YOU PUT A TRICKLE OF WATER ONTO IT UNEVEN SLIDING DOORS (generates drafts) DEN DOORS damaged roach infestation is a HUGE problem here, had to fog the apartment myself to exterminate them THE RIGHT WAY!!! Maintenance is okay if you get the right guy, but overall THEY SUCK! I had a faucet that had no water pressure, took them 3 WEEKS to come to my apartment to fix it. STAFF KEEPS SENDING ME AN EVICTION NOTICE EVERY MONTH, DESPITE THAT I AM PAYING ON-TIME/EARLY DO NOT COME HERE, THIS PLACE IS THE DEFINITION OF GETTING SCREWED!!!

                    GROSS!!!!!

                    I lived here back in 2005 when I was a poor student, so I don't know why I decided it would be a good idea to move back again with my family in 2010. This place is discusting. The buildings are falling apart. The trash is terrible, it's always overflowing on the weekends...people are notorious for blasting their ------ music, starting fights, breaking and entering, etc... The pests are the biggest problem for me. The roach infestation is bad. When I say bad I mean...HORRIBLE. We had an outside pest control company come in and they said the whole complex is so infested it should be blown up, that no amount of pesticide will stop the breeding now. They said that the fecal matter in the walls of the unit from roaches was so bad that it was contributing to my children's asthma flair ups and causing my husband and I to have major respiratory problems... RUN AWAY... is my only advice. Also, it is true the office staff and maintenence crew never contact you and they never return calls and they never come when they say they will.

                        RUN AWAY !!!!!

                        This place is a total dump...if you are thinking about living here dont... RUN THE F AWAY..... I would rather live under a bridge..... Im not kidding -Management is super nice until you rent then they dont give you the time of day. -Repairs... what repairs -It is loud all the time -There a cops called for something multiple times a week. -We were accused of trashing our balcony and they said we would get evicted when all that was out the was an 8" kids toy car. -They lost our rent check and said we didnt pay rent trying to evict us. -They entered out property with out notice. -They do not give a F about you... go somewhere else.... anywhere... seriously.

                          Okay price... nice apartment ...lots of issues

                          Ive been living here since july of last year and have had ALOT of issues multiple issues with the a/c which they tell me can only cool 20 degrees lower than the temp outside and for that i call bull sh** ... Ive lived in other apartments and worked in them and never had that issue before so they either need to figure out how to fix a/cs or buy new ones. The recently added insallation in the attics and it has helped but still gets very hot during the day my a/c can be down to 50 and it still be 85... The office never answers their phones and there is hardly any parking the first couple months i paid for a covered parking and still did not get to park there.. so canceled it... I love my apt its a good size but has some issues its not really that noisey but there are kids running every where the kids caught the drain gutter on fire.. egged cars on halloween and tare sh** up all of the time.                             very bad apartments

                            we just moved in and have yet to have anything repaired now the AC went out and I have called ddozens of times to get it fixed and nothing has been done. I called my attorney and he said I can move and get out of the lease and all money returned or I can call my own repairman to get the AC Fixed and take off the rent want it cost!

                              Fix The A/C

                              Everything is great about my home here except the A/C, I have asked numerous times to get it fixed and it never happens. The office staff says it cannot cool below 85 degrees, I would like to know if they keep their homes at 85 degrees during the summer? I think not, that is crazy, and my inside unit is so old its rusted out, and the base it sits on is rotted from water damage.

                                Slow or no maintenance

                                I have been here since the first of the month and it started with one problem in the apartment and I reported as soon as I could. We are up to over five deficiencies and have reported each one without any one showing up to repair. If maintenance is overloaded, and I am sure they are, they should let us know. My husband is overseas in support of the U.S Military and he has called numerous times with no reaction. My husband says he is searching for someone to help resolve this issue. The people here are nice and friendly and the apartment is great but the maintenance service is inadequate. If the military provided the same service that this complex is providing I would hate to see where we would be today.

                                  roomy apartment but maintenance is a circus act

                                  i moved here about a year ago didnt have to read reviews before i moved in do to family living here so i knew about the maintenance workin at snails pace i like my apartment it is just the right size and the price is good, i was able to move in pretty quickly at the end of the summer last year so i didnt have to run my a/c till this year and it has not been easy to get them over here to fix it, they told me at first it was my fault cuz i wasnt running it all day, then i went to complain to the office the the reason i wasnt running it was that it was not workin so maintenance came by 3 days later told me it was blow cool clean the outside unit and found out it wasnt turning on outside and replace the thermostat, sounds like a circus lol needless to say they havent been back since he said he would see if he could replace the outside unit, parking has never been a problem for my section, the location is good really like it close to shopping stores and tcc,… See More>

                                    Crooks, Liars. Thieves. Every one of them.

                                    THEY LOST MY RENT PAYMENT. They lost my rent payment, have charged me outrageous fees and are now trying to evict me. I am an honest hardworking person. My husband is deployed so I'm raising our two small children by myself and they are trying to kick us out on the street. It would be one thing if I didn't pay but I DID! I also lost my mailbox key two months ago, paid for a new one, and am STILL WAITING FOR IT. Every time I try to talk to them, about either issue, they are too busy to talk to me. I will call the news station if I have to, to make sure they don't screw anybody ever again.

                                      Ameneties rarely or never available

                                      I love my apartment here. I have one of the "patio homes" and parking is never an issue. My problem is that I moved here partially for all of the amenities that apartment living offered such as the (4) swimming pools, the fitness center, the clubhouse, the internet cafe. Unfortunately, on any given day MAYBE one of the pools is open. Yes, they have (4) pools, but can you ever get to use them....NOT LIKELY. The internet cafe closes early so people are parked outside of it on the stoop and in their cars to use the free internet. The fitness center is only open from 9am-6pm on weekdays so I fail to see how any working person will ever be able to get full benefit from it. I am trying to find out if these things are grounds for terminating my lease. **UPDATE** FINALLY ALL 4 POOLS ARE OPEN! Some other issues remain, but it does seem that the office is working to rectify those although slowly at times.

                                        it was okay

                                        I lived here back in 09', so things may have changed since then. BUT, my apartment did not have roaches or bugs or anything. My apartment was very nice, everything worked properly except the dishwasher, which i hand wash dishes anyway so i didn't care. The grounds were always nice, the gym was nice. parking was never a problem. i had a very clean unit when i moved in, and kept it pretty clean the whole time. I did have some damages to the walls and carpet, but in the end i got a refunded deposit and everything was fine. I didn't ever have many dealings with the office staff, so i can't say how they are, and they have probably changed since then anyway. the bad: The entire year i lived there, i had a felon living with me. I asked them if this would be okay when i moved in, and the leasing agent told me to just not say anything, and everything would be fine. so we didn't put him on the lease.... just saying that to prove that no, they don't accept felons to sign the lease, but there are probably a lot living there.                                           DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!! RUN FAAAR AWAY!!

                                          We moved here from Nashville almost 3 years ago and found 8500 Harwood "Luxury" Apartments were right across from TCC and right in our price range at the time. We have been more or less stuck here from the beginning. When your lease is up they won't give you a notice saying your lease is up next month. They will wait until your lease is up and send you a rent bill for 900 bucks since you are now month to month. Our A/C hasn't worked right since day one. We place multiple calls every summer requesting a repair and either they never come or say that it's working fine. When clearly the thermostat shows that its 85 degrees in the apartment. The A/C runs 24/7 so your electric bill will be in the hundreds of dollars. The units are atleast 20 years old and constantly leak freon or seize up. They replaced mine with a "refurbished" one of equal age and it's givien me more problems than the first unit. Lets face it Harwood you had it laying around in your shop didn't you?                                             No good!

                                            This is the crappiest place I've ever been too in my life. 100% roach infested. I was told after being avoided for weeks that I could move to a different apartment....I had to physically go to the office becasue they wouldn't answer my phone calls i went and looked.....BOTH other apartments I was shown had ROACHES as well. The cupboards are wet and moist. I have a child and Harwood makes me feel like a bad parent thank God I only had to do it for 2 months. after paying a ton of money out i was able to break my lease. they tried to get me to pay for stuff i had nooooo clue about like trash on my porch, i didn't even have anything on my porch. this place is a joke. and the ratings mean something. save your time and your money. this roach infested place is so not worth living in. YUCK.

                                              Incompetents in the Office

                                              My girlfriend and I with our 2yr old little girl recently tried getting into this complex. Well first everyone was rather nice and friendly (which of course is common in a situation like this). We went on the little tour and what not of the complex, we were very excited about getting out of one of those slum weekly rate suites. So we went ahead and started the paperwork and whatnot then paid the 150usd deposit and out 25usd app fees (students get a discount). Mind you this was after we saw the apt they had available for immediate move in which had several roaches in it. The roaches I could deal with seeing since it had not been occupied in a great while. We finally get everything finished and were told that the app should all be done by Friday (we did this on a Wednesday). Friday comes along and we get a call from them asking for more information, information we already provided mind you, after this call everything was fine and were told things should be squared away by Monday.                                                   Over all, stay away if you can.

                                                  My husband and I moved in in April 2010 with our 2yo daughter. We were ecstatic after dealing with our leasing agent ---- who jokingly (or so we thought) told us to always keep a copy of our lease just in case he and everyone else was fired a week from that day. Management and all of the office staff were replaced two and a half months later, which is where our horror began. Our downstairs neighbors were caught in a drug-raid at 2am, the Nice ------- living next to them was wonderful! He helped us fix our showers when the maintenance wouldn't, but he unfortunately had had enough of this place and moved out. The neighbors next to us have - young children (all girls) that run around naked outside at all hours of the day and night, and when I tried to speak to their mother about putting some clothes on them, she nor any of the children spoke any English.
