Don't lose your pool key!

We are moving out and we received a list of fees that we may be charged if things are not cleaned or taken care of. One thing that shocked me was a $100 fine for not returning the pool key. I'm glad my roommate did a good job of keeping it safe but I would think that it would be the easiest thing to lose.

Other issues
- Three bedroom townhomes are only given two parking perments forcing the unfortunate one to park in the visitor section. I let my other roommates have them. However, I didn't have it that bad because the visitor parking was right across the street of the townhome. There was plenty of unused spaces just right in front of the townhomes...I couldn't understand why management refused to give us a third permit.
- One of my roommates got his radio stolen in his truck. The other roommate got some tire gauges stolen from his tires. I, on the other hand, got an antena ball put on my car. Ha
- My next door neighbor was robbed last month. It was very disturbing.
- Several months ago a person… See More>

Please don't be fooled when you enter the complex and proceed to the leasing office, this is the only part of the complex that is maintained, has grass and flowers and trees. The apartment that will likely be rented to you will look like a concrete ------,people hang outside in the parking lot into the wee hours of the night. you'll wake up to find beer bottles next to your car. The garbage area and receptacles are never maintained. You will probably live next door to a lady with 5 kids in a 2 bedroom apartment. I did.The mold in the bathrooms is unavoidable. Because it seems my neighbors were always on a quest for free cable i was taken out of service on ever so often until i moved. The pools are stank in the summertime, they are very rarely cleaned.

If you like muddy walkways, this is for you

I've lived at Worthing Pointe for the last year and I have only two things good to say.
1. Good floorplans
2. Great location

What I have bad to say is numerous but I will only put down 3.
1. Pest control sucks (when you have to have the maintance department come and spray your apartment every week for roaches but they won't go ahead and spray the rest of the building and blame you. This is a building wide problem.)
2. Muddy Walkways(When it rains and the walkways fill with mud each and every time that you have to have a seperate pair of "mud" shoes so that you can get your mail there is a problem.)
3. Office hours (Office hours used to be M-F 8:30 til 5:30 and Sat 8:30 til 12:30 now they changed to no Saturday without notification. Major problem

          Don't even consider this place

We have been here over 15 years at this point, and it gets worse every year. We do not feel safe here anymore (there have been two shootings within 100 feet of our apartment). I have seen a couple of drug deals in front of our aparment, I've lost track of how many people I have seen peeing in the parking lot, and people are constantly working on their old, beat-up cars in the parking lot. There are lots of other things I could go on about, but suffice it to say I agree with the other negative comments that have been expressed here. We have stayed as long as we have for financeal reasons, and because it is a large apartment for the money and the location is ideal for us, but we do not plan to renew again. By the way- if you do move here, fluency in the Mexican language would come in handy...

Seriously DO NOT MOVE TO WORTHING POINTE

I have lived here 2 years too long, we have been blessed to be able to move out of this HORRIBLE apt complex in 4 days...THANK GOD.

1. My car was broken into the first week I moved here, glass was broken, radio stolen.

2.My kids bikes were stolen off my front porch.

3. I have requested for my daughters bedroom closet to be fixed (off track) 3 times. each time they reset it, but they cannot figure out the problem is the track is mounted into a wall that is termite infested.

4. Speaking of termites, we have to shake our clothes off to get those pesky things off our clothes everday.

5. speaking of pesky things, we love the summer time, because winter brings the biggest water bugs you have ever seen. We requested them to close up all holes, but they still come in, and they tell us we'll send someone over to spray. I mean the redish bugs are "BIG".

6. Due to the contruction that has been going on for the 2 yrs I have been here, I have had to get my tires patched so much that when I took them to tire discounters this last time, I was told… See More>

Now known as Worthing Pointe Apts

If all you care about is a large living space for a small price...move on in. But if you care about safety, quiet, nice people, amenities, and good maintenance...look elsewhere. I have lived here 2 months and I am currently looking for a safer place to live and terminating my lease here. Shame on me for not checking with the Police Dept. about the crime in this complex before moving in. Something I would advise everyone to do before moving in to any apartment now. After finding out about a shooting at this complex I called crime prevention only to find out numerous other crimes (numerous car burglaries, car theft, aggravated robbery, and attempted burglary of an apt)had happened in this one complex over a 2 month period. As if the crime isn't enough to scare you away, watch out for the infinite numbers of UNATTENDED children everywhere and noisy neighbors who prefer to hang outside the apartments through all hours of the night being anything but quiet. I do not recommend these apartments to anyone who wants a safe home environment.

                It depends...

If you don´t need anything fixed.. it´s great.

If you like high electric bills... it´s great

If you like drama provided by our local cops.. it´s entertaining...

However...

If you don´t like close parking spaces... you might not like it...

If you don´t like quality care for the property... you might not like it..

If you don´t like overpaying for something not worth it... you just might not like it.

Thanks :)

Fixer Upper!!!!

Have lived here several years. Maintenance is a myth. A/C is old and expensive to run.
Complaints go unheeded. Security is non existant - complained about non working security lights - never fixed.

Apartments are large, which lends itself to living next to a "frat house". Kids overrun the public areas and are unsupervised.

                    Please read me!!!

Looks like a bargin going in. Feels like highway robbery going out. The only thing worth mentioning that is possitive about this place is the amount of space for the money. If that´s all you are looking for, then the Regency is your place. However, if you want to have a home, not just a roof over your miserable head, look elsewhere.

The maintainence is unconcionable here. It took six months to get a broken window fixed in our apartment! We had to resort to sending certified letters to request maintainence in our three bedroom apartment. Nothing like someone that can read the fine print of a lease to get their attention!

Furthermore, the so-called amenities are useless as they are constantly overrun with UNATTENDED children. The tennis courts are always chock full of strollers, bicycles, and basketballs. No one can possibly play tennis for fear of hitting one of the countless toddlers with a stray tennis ball. I´m not even going into detail about the swimming pools. Let´s just say that there is enough chlorine in them to kill way more than the e-coli left behind… See More>

                      Pretty good for the price

I lived in the 3 bedroom townhome floor plan 1400sqft. I must say that it is a great floorplan for long term living. Although these apartments are a bit old, they do not feel like it from the inside. When we first looked at it, we were blown away with all the new appliances offered and new carpet. The exterior of the apartments are nothing fancy. Trees are nice, but do not really help the ugly brown paint on brown brich exterior. Overall, Id say its the best you can get if youre looking for cheap living

Cheap Apts with large floor plans -- Poor maintenance

These apartments are older units, with older pipes, appliances, air conditioning. We´ve had lots of maintenance problems, and the maintenance staff hasn´t always been helpful. But, for the price, these are nice, large apartments. Comparably sized apartments in the area would run twice as expensive. You get what you pay for. We will stay here through another lease.
